This is often repeated everyday; Get a nut, take it to the tree, put it in a tree knott, and eat!

Hi @etcmike. The woodpecker is always in the area, don't those birds migrate.

Some woodpeckers stay in the area all year and a few do seem to migrate to warmer locations.
