The Indian pitta is a passerine bird and native to the Indian subcontinent. It breeds in the forests of the Himalayas and migrates to other parts of Asia in winter. In Pakistan it is very rare to find but in this season because of covid19 they were spotted easily. As Margalla hills Park was closed for public so they got some suitable environment for breeding. Hope next year they will be in good numbers and will also breed regularly.
