Everyone knows global warming is huge concern. So the technology and innovation goes through to find and adopt those technology or use of those element which helps to reduce global warming by zero emission of carbon. So there is unprecended it moment around the world to fulfill hydrogen potential. Green hydrogen is the type which produce in a climate mutual manner and makes world to net zero emission carbon by 2050. To promote this energy many countries launch some policies.

Green hydrogen policy has been launched in India in this year.

Provision under this policy

  • Company has liberty to set up renewable energy capacity anywhere.
  • Storage of access the green hydrogen produced by any company up to 30 days will be allowed.
  • Green hydrogen producers company will be granted free power transmission for renewable energy project set before 2025.

what is green hydrogen

It is produced through the electrolysis process using renewable source of energy. In this method with the help of electrical current separate hydrogen from oxygen in presence of water.
The green approach to producing hydrogen is good for the sustainability.
Hydrogen can be used for both the fuel cell and IC engine and jet engine also.

why hydrogen

  • Hydrogen element is one of the most abundant element found on earth and it will clearly used as a fuel.
  • There are many types of hydrogen based on the process of its formation not colour. We named colour for his identical formation technique.
Some of the type of hydrogen are-

  1. Green hydrogen- this method is most expensive method for produce hydrogen. This type of hydrogen is produced with the help of electrolysis process.
  2. Brown hydrogen-it is produced by using coal and the emissions are released to the air.
  3. Grey hydrogen- it is produced by natural gas and the emission release to the air.
  4. Blue hydrogen- blue hydrogen produce from natural gas through the process of steam methane reforming.

Uses of green hydrogen

  • Hydrogen element used as energy carrier and can deliver our store huge amount of energy.
  • It is also used as a fuel cell.
  • Hydrogen used for exploring outer space also. NASA begin using liquid hydrogen around 1950 in a rocket fuel.
  • Hydrogen fuel cells produce electricity by combining of hydrogen with oxygen atom.
  • Due to their high efficiency and zero emission which means zero amount of carbon released in atmosphere has to reduce greenhouse gas emission that's why we use hydrogen as a fuel.

Some key features about green hydrogen formation

According to data.

  • Less than 1% of hydrogen is produced in the world and its called a green hydrogen. Because the electrolyte formation is more expensive.
  • Day by day development increases and the aim is to increase the capacity up to 5000 gigawatt by 2050 and today the production is only 0.3Gw.

That was all about today diary i learn from different books and some Google source then i write my diary. Please read and give your valuable votes and comment.

Great content! As far I know India has great reserves for Green Hydrogen and planning to export.
