The diarygame: 19-09-22: Marriage rituals going on at my home.

Every society has its own cultures, traditions and rituals. The taste of living in that society is experienced by enjoining these rituals As part of our rituals associated with marriage, we had to clean rice of any impurity to make it ready to use on the day of marriage.

After getting up at 6:00am , I performed morning prayers after ablution and then recited the holy Quran. Later I folded my bed and headed toward the kitchen to preapre breakfast for the family. I prepared tea and by then my mom came and helped me Later we all had breakfast together. My sister and brother left to attend a function at one of our family friend's homes.

We finished all the home chores in the first half of the day as we had planned to clean rice today in the second half. As a cultural practice, we invited a few of our close relatives and neioughbours to help. It is purely a ritual otherwise there was nothing to clean

While all the invitees got busy in cleaning the rice few of them started singing traditonal native language songs. I was witnessing all this from inside my room as they were doing this on the veranda and lawn. They finished within two hours and had tea. Later all headed toward their homes except a few relatives who stayed at my home.

Later we sat with relatives and had fun. We continued funny discussion till dinner and then my siblings made a bed for all. While my maternal aunt is very dear to me so she slept in my room. While I am writing diary, I am still having fun with her. That's all in brief from the day.
