(Today, Nurses' Day is being celebrated at my sister's College)
Hello,
Everyone,
How are you all?
Hope everybody on this site also had a great day. I had a good day too.
Today is "International Nurses Day" so I have a lot of good wishes for all the nurses. For the selfless service of those for us, all of our family members can overcome the time of illness because of them.
(This is a picture of Didi's G.N.M training period, at N. R. S hospital)
Many of you know, but many do not know that my sister is a nurse. She first did a G.N.M nursing course from N. R. S hospital, after passed higher secondary examination. Then complete B.S.C. nursing, and she is currently doing a M.S.C nursing, with a degree in psychology from S.S.K.M hospital.
I probably would not have understood the importance of this day in such a good way, if Didi had not been in this profession. Didi herself has suffered a lot for the place she has reached today. But she also believes that our mother has qualified her to reach this place. And she really did a lot for our mother.
(Sister's colleague)
In my yesterday post, I informed you all that my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Didi showed mother the best doctor in Kolkata. The doctor said there would be no more treatment. My mother was not informed about the disease.
My mother believed that if she went to Vellore for treatment, she would get better. At that time, just for her believe, Didi took her to Vellore and showed her to the doctor, did all the tests again.
We all knew that spending all this money would not save our mother's life. But still Didi spent a lot of money only for the peace of mind of our mother.
Being a girl she may not have been able to do more than this for her mother but being a nurse she has save many mother's life of many children. And here is the uniqueness of this profession.
(While the whole world is fighting with Corona, the sisters are also fighting in this way. My sister is the one who does not have a mobile.)
And there is nothing more to say about the difficult times we have gone through in the last two years.
I don't know how many people have lost their loved ones in the situation. But in that situation, people like my sister did not stay at home.
Even at the risk of their own lives, they have done their job endlessly. So many doctors and nurses have lost their lives just to serve the common people. How many children have lost their parents at such a young age?
I still remember how long my sister did not come home, for her two young children. If the virus spreads from her to children. How much she cried for her family. But she never thought of leaving her work in such tough situation.
(The condition after opening the PPE kit. The whole body is wet with sweat.)
Many times I see so much news in the newspaper, on TV, it feels really bad. I'm not saying everyone is equal. However, for some people, it is not right to attack the whole profession. And franki speaking, they are also human, not robots. They have also life, sometimes they also feel bad. Sometimes we ordinary people judge them without realizing their situation.
How many times have I done that too. But when I heard the real story of their situation from from my sister, I understood a lot. And now my outlook has changed a lot.
However, today I am proud of my sister. What she has done for the people will never be possible for me. But I try to help her in other ways.

For the last one month she stayed Rachi for her training and tomorrow she will go to Bangalore for another 15 days. This time I take care of her children. I try to keep them like their mother. And if I stay with them, Didi feel better.
However, I wrote today's post for my sister. I can't do anything for her, I only pray to God that she always be well and healthy. So that more people can get help.
Take care everyone. Always stay happy, be healthy.
Good night.
