The days seem to last less time, otherwise I do not explain how many days pass from when I write an article to the next without me noticing.
Let us remember that according to what we read Jesus Christ stripped himself of his power from God, so in terms of power he was one more human and so he remained for thirty years before starting his Ministry:
"But one day he goes into the wilderness, and after forty days he returns to be baptized by John the Baptist, an event in which the Spirit of God comes upon Him, coincidence? again we have together the same two who were together at the beginning of creation to fulfill the Father's instructions, and it is from there that the ministry of Jesus Christ officially begins."
THE ANOINTING
We will start from the word "anointing" or the verb "anoint"
I think it's important to focus on this because it seems to me customary for God to "anoint" someone before sending them to perform a task. Such was the case with the first kings of Israel. So when someone is "anointed" by God it means that they are being entrusted with a task and the anointing is the certificate that God will back up the envoy.
Now let's look at what is found about anointing and Jesus Christ in the Bible:
Hebrews 1:9
Reina-Valera 1960
9 You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness,
Wherefore you were anointed by God, your God,
With oil of joy more than your peers.
This is being said of Jesus Christ, that his God (The Father) has anointed him, although the given quote does not reflect the office for which he was anointed the important thing is to emphasize that Jesus Christ was Anointed by the Father which represents that he had a task to do and the authority and support of God the Father to execute it.
But we will discover what this task is about, because Jesus Christ himself reveals it, after being baptized by John and the Holy Spirit having come upon him, it happened that he went to the synagogue to read the scriptures and it is there that the purpose of his anointing is deciphered.
Luke 4:17-21
Reina-Valera 1960
17 And she was given the book of the prophet Isaiah; and having opened the book, he found the place where it was written:
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
For he has anointed me to give good news to the poor;
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted;
To proclaim freedom to the captives,
And sight to the blind;
To set the oppressed free;
19 To preach the pleasing year of the Lord.
20 And rolling up the book, he gave it to the minister, and sat down; and the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21 And he began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled before you."
When God speaks every word he says it is important even the order of the words is because God is a God of order, so the first thing that the word read determines is that: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me" which John the Baptist testified at the time of baptizing him.
What he determines is that as he began his ministry and for as long as he performed the work for which he was anointed, the Spirit of God would be with him. So this Spirit would be in charge of providing Jesus Christ man with the supernatural power to execute his ministry. This can certainly be detailed in the following sentences that determine the purpose of the anointing or tasks to be executed, remember that the order here is important:
give good news to the poor: This is what is considered "gospel", it can be interpreted as good news although in this text it specifies "the poor" however remember that God does not think like us and some whom we could call poor God does not look at them as such, the same happens with the rich. God does not see what man looks at but the heart, so I believe he is not referring to an economic condition.
To heal the brokenhearted: Part of the Ministry of Jesus Christ is to comfort and restore joy to people who for reasons concerning things of this world have been left without hope and without motivation. The Lord takes those hearts and heals them.
To proclaim freedom to the captives: When Jesus Christ spoke of freedom he clearly referred to freedom from sin or from the slavery of sin. Many do evil even if they want not to, a clear example we see in many who want to leave some vice and can not, these are slaves of sin but the Ministry of Jesus Christ also consists of giving freedom from this type of slavery.
And seen to the blind: Much must be said about this because it should not be understood as a physical disability but a mental or understanding one, when we read the Gospels we find Jesus calling many blind who are not physically blind. If you cannot see clearly God's love, the truth about this world, and the purpose of your life then you are blind even though your eyes work well. Jesus Christ as "The Light" and "The Truth" came to "Show Us" "The Way".
To set the oppressed free: Notice that again it speaks of freedom, but previously it went to the captives and now it refers to the oppressed, this is those oppressed by physical illnesses within which the Ministry of Jesus Christ operates with healing and miracles.
To preach the pleasing year of the Lord: It is nothing more than to announce the reign of the Messiah on earth, so I begin your preaching by announcing that "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."
These were the points on which Jesus Christ defined that His ministry would be centered because they were the purposes for which He was anointed and the reason why the Holy Spirit was upon Him as a seal that would give Him all the power and support necessary to perform this work.
Sometimes we go around looking for enigmas and paradigms where there are none, because Jesus Christ made everything very clear from the beginning. But it would be interesting to see according to the narrated gospels in which fragments of these Jesus Christ did some of the things exposed. If you can cite some in the comments you would help me a lot, if not then I will look for some to expose them in the following article.
But it is important to emphasize that Jesus Christ was not alone during his ministry and that in terms of capabilities and power he was similar to us, but in that condition he tried harder than any of us to please God. It is also important to remember even if it is redundant that Jesus Christ as a man did not have his power from God because he had stripped himself of it, but he had the Power of the Holy Spirit, something that has also become accessible to anyone who decides to follow Jesus Christ.
Thank you for having read this far, may God continue to bless your life and that of your loved ones, keep you from all danger and always put bread on your table.
