Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my first 50kilometer ride here in Metro Manila, Philippines. I'm glad that there are more bike lanes now than before. It is much safer for all the motorists and pedestrians. But there are areas where people and drivers ignore the lanes for bikes. People walk there, sometimes vehicles use it as a parking lot. I hope there will be more disciplined in using the public transportation system,,, so we are all safe.
My next goal is 100 kilometres 🌿
For those who wonder, here is my Strava log:
And here's yours truly, enjoying the solitude.
Number of bikers increased since pandemic, and I believe it is a good thing because there will be fewer carbon footprint because people do not use their car and public transportation like bus or jeepney. It is also essential for the heart and health since it is a form of cardio exercise.
Today is also my first anniversary of having a bicycle, I remembered I bought one last year because I don't want to ride a jeep, or bus or taxi because of I am afraid of the transmission of the nCov-19 virus, and I don't want to spend my money on booking Grab. I need to save for the future! Haha.
My first bike is now owned by my sister.
And that's all for today!
