Hello, Steemit Philippines!

Today, I want to show my full participation to the #SPUD4STEEM Contest this month of October.

Last month, I aimed to accumulate as many Steem Dollars as possible by trying my best to post quality blogs to the different communities I am part of and by joining different contests in hopes to win Steem Rewards. Here is the list of posts I have made in Steemit that earned an SBD or two.

Fortunately, I was able to accumulate 18 SBD that I spent all in buying Steem to Power Up. I also accumulated 25 Steem from contest and consolation prizes. I want to thank the different communitiies- members, moderators and admins for the support they have given me in the posts. I know I have a lot of posts that did not even reach 1 dollar, but that will not stop me from posting and trying again.

Power Up Now

Iniatially, my Steem Power was only at 615.422. But, as what I have mentioned aboved, I already aimed that I will be powering up on this day to be able to join in this contest and grow my self more in this platform. The only way so I can have more STEEM for powering up is to use my SBD and buy STEEM.

So, I used my 9.215 SBD to buy 120.010 STEEM. This is my first time to buy STEEM using my SBD. Before, I always used my SBD earnings for withdrawals. I have now understood the importance of powering up and investing more on STEEM Power since I really want to grow big in STEEMIT.

As you can see in the picture, I already have 150+ of STEEM. It is because of having a balance of 30 STEEM from the contest and consolation prizes plus the 120 STEEM I bought for 9.215 SBD. At this point I was really feeling very great for myself for doing this decision. So, I powered up all the 150.302 STEEM.

It increased my STEEM Power to 765.725 from the previous STEEM Power of 614.422. That's already a big increase. I never did such thing before since my entry last December 2017. During those times I was only thinking of withdrawing the money I earned from blogging.

I thought I was already finished. But, I still wanted more. I thought of selling again my remaining SBD to buy another STEEM.

After the successful purchased of STEEM, I used it again to do another round of Powering Up. I went through again to the process and now you can see that I now have STEEM POWER 884.120 from 615.422.

Learnings & Insights

1. Posting Quality Content is very important in Steemit to gain support from curators especially to accounts with very low SP.
2. Powering Up is a good investment in Steemit. It is like a fuel - the more you have fuel in your engine the farther you can go.
3. Powering Up makes you a hero in Steemit because it enables you to help more people/members in your community through upvoting, commenting, and resteeming. These transaction needs you to have a strong SP.
