Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week3/ "Religious Adherence"

Greetings to all kabayan and steemians!

I am glad that I already could take part in this newest contest here at Steemit Philippines.

Filipinos are known of so many good things and values and this mark our own culture.

One of this is our religious adherence, our belief in God and on how we give honor through our fiesta celebration. Every year, we celebrate fiesta in honor our patron saint or give thanks to the Almighty. This picture was taken before the hit of pandemic. It is the biggest the fiesta celebration here in Cebu, Sinulog, in honor of the miraculous child, Sr. Sto. Nino. Our school that time was one of the sponsors so we attended mass together with my co-teachers and selected students.
There is a nine-day novena mass in which the religious advocate diligently attend the mass under the heat of the sun and too much crowd.
There is also an inside and outside preparation of the church, that most people volunteered in doing so. This really shows that most of us Filipinos willingly give our time in helping and have great faith in our belief.

Today, when the pandemic hit us last year, there was really a sudden change of our usual routine. We cannot go out anywhere, we have to strictly follow protocols, even people who go to church are limited. We still celebrate fiesta but not the way it was. As I visited recently, this place, the church is not too crowded like before because of health protocol. But one thing which has never changed we, Filipinos, continue to celebrate in our own way to honor and give thanks to God.
Even we just watch and attend mass through online platforms but our faith remains, and that one makes good quality make us known. At ito ay nagbibigay tatak sa atin, ang ating taimtim na paniniwala.
