Steemit Engagement Challenge-S8W4 | Famous Street Foods in your Place

Greetings foodies! 😃

STREET FOODS! are a sensation right now in Sri Lanka. Every city and village has a food festival on weekends to get together with family, friends and enjoy these delicious. Today in this contest I will share one of such occasion that I went to try Street foods!

The location on this Street food festival was the closet city to where I live. The event organizers had chosen the most famous spot in the city the Panadura Beach (///elite.disposal.denoting). The beach area is huge and it can accomodate thousands of people at once.

I visited the place with my friends, we went there for the dinner. It was already crowded but peaceful with the sea on the other side. There were so many food outlets and we spend sometime circling around checking what to eat and the price.

After some investigation, we decide to try Burgers. It was delicious. We were very satisfied with the quality and the reasonable price.

Now that our first choice is good, we continue our hunt for the next food. I saw this shop named "Mr. Pani Puri" and wanted to try it. This was the first time I tasted it. Pani puri is a famous street food in India but here in Sri Lanka it got famous very recently.

They had different flavors of this food. Since, I didn't eat any of them before I decided to taste all of them. They had an option to take each flavor 02 pieces. It just 50 rupees more so we took that one.

I must say I'm never going to eat that Spicy Pani puri again. Dhahi one had curd in it so it was average. My favorite out of three flavors was the Chocolate Puri! It was good.

Then I had the worst one of the night, the potato spiral. It was only good for the photo so I used it for the cover 😉. However, in this journey I was missing out of one food which is viral right now. It is a drink actually. Every Street food festival this drink is available but somehow we missed it.

This is drink called as One shot drink, you can see how viral it is in Sri Lanka just by searching thousands of video from TikTok & youtube.

For this contest I'm going to try out this drink.

The ingredients

• Sprite

• Any supplement drink
  (I used Sting Energy Drink)

• Lime

• Salt

• One large class & a small one

How it is prepared

• Pour the sprite into the large class

• Put some lime and salt beneath the small glass

• Then pour the energy drink into the small glass. You can choose the color and flavor as you like for this step.

• As a final step, put the small glass into the sprite glass.. That's when the fun begins! 😂😂😂

What makes it famous?

More than a drink it has become an experience. The #oneshot or #funshot kind of hashtags are going viral in all over social media made it a must do for all the teenage.

The majority drinks it for the video! That's the catch for sellers.. they are doing pretty good because everyone loves it.
