A Surprise Celebration of Our First Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I anticipated for our first wedding anniversary. Too bad, I had problems financially after crypto went down that week. The week prior, I bought some coins with more than 10 thousand pesos. After a week, it went down and only amounted to 2 thousand pesos. I have no choice but to withdraw some of my coins, and allocated for the celebration.

On the exact day of our wedding anniversary, I have no plans because the celebration was scheduled for the weekend. My wife went downstairs as she volunteered to cook our breakfast. I stayed in bed but after 30 minutes to go the toilet because I need to. It took me around 20 minutes, and when I went out, I saw some of my in-laws. When I got to the dining area, I was surprised with the foods prepared. It was actually planned by my wife, and she surprised me with the celebration.

It was a potluck from my wife's family and siblings. Simple foods are prepared with seafoods, veggies, meat, and fruits. Of course, there's a cake which was bought by my wife.

It was a short celebration because everyone has their own works to do, while my wife and I had our second booster. It's unplanned by my sister-in-law, who's a doctor, told us to go to the hospital.

Of course, we had exchanged gifts and my wife even surprised me. I gave her my gifts which she didn't expect. Those liniments are just some of the gifts. I actually checked them on Shopee, and I never thought she bought them.

It's funny because those gifts are now my perfumes. I have one for sleep, and the other two are useful when I'm stressed or I wanted to relax. They said it is related to age which I cannot deny. Lol!

That celebration is memorable. It doesn't have to be lavish. A simple one, especially when it's a surprise, is something that's worth appreciated.
