Admin Report: Another Successful Charity Event of Steemit Philippines||Total Donations-55 Sbd and 200 Steem for 77 Families||January 2022||#club75

Begin a New Year by sharing your blessings and be a great help by taking part in helping those who are in need.

Can you imagine a family without a home? A child dies because of dehydration? A gloomy Christmas without lights? A new year without any food at the table? A restless mind that keeps on thinking what tomorrow may bring? Those are only a few emotions that are battling with my fellow Filipinos in the Philippines.

There are so many global misfortunes happening these days, from war, pandemic, hunger, and natural calamities. In my previous post, I was talking about what happened to my family in the Philippines after the devastation of the signal number 4 typhoon Odette, which results in so many damages not only in my home but for almost a hundred Filipinos in different places in the Philippines. Even if it happened three weeks ago, still, the electrical power and the internet signal have not been fully restored yet. My heart breaks while reading about the news and posts of my fellows, some of them are extremely in need and jobless.

Right after the typhoon, our Steemit Philippines team talked about plans on how to give a little help to the victims most especially to our members from the Visayas Region where the center of destruction happened and many have lost their homes. At that time, we found it hard to look for somebody to handle the Charity event because most of our members were also busy reconstructing their houses and looking for initiatives to survive, plus the difficulty in reaching them due to loss of internet signal in the area.

It was a blessing that @bien opened up a conversation in our telegram and talked about having a charity in our place. Immediately I notified my co-admin @loloy2020 to use our charity fund from the @steemph.charity account. One of our plans is to give 5 kilos of rice to 70+ families with a cost estimation of more than 50 sbds. This is our second charity event sponsored by our community. The The first one was the feeding charity event for the less fortunate families living in Mandaue City proposed by @liamnov.

For transparency, here is the actual screenshot of sbd and steem transferred to @bien last January 1-2022. You may refer to the expenses in his financial report (link above). I also gave personal 5sbd as an additional fund for our charity event.

I am also grateful to the teachers, @kyrie1234, @bisayakalog, @bby0207, and @fabio2614 who volunteered to help the Charity event, though they are victims too.

To those who gave their assistance to this Charity event most especially to @steemcurator01, I bow my head to you, truly you are an inspiration to many. May you will stay blessed and continue to be an image of a great leader. May the Lord will give back a hundred folds in return for the goodness of your heart. I'm so blessed to be part of this social media platform that has this initiative in helping members. This help will surely leave an impact on the typhoon victims to still see the bright side of life and that some organizations out there are reaching out to them.

To all my fellow Filipinos who are suffering this time, know then that there is a rainbow after the rain. Let's continue to show the world how resilient we are! Together we will win!
