These are throwback photos from our trip back to Bohol when we were in Cebu in November last year. It happened before the typhoon. The ship was damaged during the typhoon and so their business had stopped for a couple of months but has now resumed. Allow me to share with you how the boat looks and how the view is during this trip.

Matti was still 17 months old at this point. We brought him to Cebu to visit the in-laws. But during our trip here, we came from the city and then traveled for two hours to reach Argao. We opted to travel this way because we were planning to go to Panglao for an overnight stay and this route was easier and also cheaper!

We traveled to Argao at a very early hour, around five in the morning so before seven, we were already in Argao. It was still pandemic so there were many restrictions in terms of travel like we have to secure several documents to be cleared. We got these documents so it was just smooth getting to the ship.

While waiting for the ticket office to open, we ate breakfast, and we bought some McDonald's meals along the way. But actually, there's a restaurant near here with hot soup and I regret why we bought McDonald's instead but we have to eat what we bought so we stayed here in this bend and watched the peaceful view of the local boats and some kids enjoying the water.

This trip would be our second time traveling to Cebu. The first was in July 2021 and I had COVID at that time so it was worse than this trip, but still, we were thankful that we got to visit the in-laws and also got Matti to see his birthplace!

We waited for a good two hours as well because the time of departure was at nine in the morning, we just have to be early so that we could secure a slot in the barge for our car.

As we went inside, the husband properly got the car with the help of the people at the boat.

It's just amazing that we can travel from one island to another using these kinds of vehicles. I am glad that there are many options now in traveling from and to Bohol island.

Back when I was still in college, I'd only travel from Bohol to Cebu via Ubay because it was cheaper and also near to our town. I always have a problem getting a ticket there because of the limited number of seats and there are many passengers. Now, there are many options and it will all depend on the passenger's choice.

Traveling via Argao is really nice because there are no huge crowds since this is a provincial town on the island. Most of the passengers come from the province too although there are huge trucks hopping in, there is still a great chance of getting a slot as long as you are early just like what we did!

This is Argao's floating restaurant! We had dined there before! It's great to see that it is still in business although I am not sure if they were affected by the typhoon too! I hope no one got hurt at that time!

Matti and the husband secured seats at the boat. There are only sitting options, no beds! Sometimes, I get seasick but I am glad that my baby was cool at that time, he didn't get any seasickness! My husband told me he is very proud of his son because when he was that young, he couldn't travel without puking!

We passed by several white sand beaches. The trip only took around two hours or less. When we were about to dock, we saw the thick dark clouds hovering, it was going to pour soon! So when the boat signaled it was time to dock and get out of the ship, we immediately went to the car!

That's the situation of the cars. Ours is the gray one beside the truck with the orange covering, not the big dark gray one though but that which is before it. I was getting to the car as quickly as I can because the rain was just about to pour and we don't want to get wet!

Thankfully, the rain only poured after we were done processing our papers. Upon disembarking, the Loon port officers will have to check our papers, especially our vaccination cards. It only rained when we were on the way out of the port! Thank God!

Traveling via Argao to Loon was for us the best option to get to Oslob. I hope that we can go back next time around because the last time we traveled to Cebu, we took the Tubigon to Cebu City route as there are no boats available in Argao yet at that time due to the Typhoon damages.
