My DIY STEEMIT Bookmark

Hello everybody,

After reading the Steemit Philippines Community's contest of the week: Write STEEMIT On Anything just this afternoon, my think and re-think what medium will I use...aha! Yarns, because crochet is my forte I right away search from my stash the colors of yarns I will need.

But, first let me share to you my finished item I did this afternoon, a Steemit bookmark!

Good thing I found this blue shades of indophil yarns in my stash.

Without delay I searched graph letters in Pinterest that is just simple I can graph. I found one.

I graph the word STEEMIT, drawing an X in every box of the graphing paper.

Then I started crocheting using a steel 2.5mm hook, I chained 45 as my foundation chains plus another chain 1 to start Row 1.

Then, I followed the graph pattern that I draw. Alternating two colors, the light blue for the word STEEMIT.

When I was in Row 5, damn! I frogged that Row 4 and Row 3 until the letter M I was wrong there, so, repeat again.

Corrected and my phase up to the end was smooth and the word STEEMIT was readable.

Then, I edge it with slip stitch and placed chain two alternately at the edge for the tassles.

Done! In less than two hours plus stopping because hubby called me in between my work to run a short errand.
