Religion is what shapes Philippine culture by playing a big role in our belief, not just to us but also with other cultures. Christianity was influenced by Ferdinand Magellan through his expedition which is the greatest event known in history. The first
ever recorded circumnavigation happened in the year 1522 where he brought Christianity, long lasting legacy of Spaniards, in the Philippines.

Most of you guys can relate to this whether you agree or agree(haha kidding). I chose to do another entry that talks about "Religion" because most percentage goes to Christianity where I belong.
I happened to come up with the idea of Religion since I visited Sto. Niño Parish located in Mactan Newtown, Lapu-Lapu City a few days ago. I came together with my girl to attend orientation and as Finipino as we are, we tend to come by the church whenever we can. Its location was near since its a few steps to the meeting place. We both take our time in praying for God's guidance, courage and enlightenment wherever we are and wherever we go. We have this belief that may be different to you but I know we have the same faith, love and trust in our God.
Sinulog Festival
Sinulog festival is the most known celebration in Cebu. It is one of religious activity we celebrate with millions of devotees that will come to witness the dance ritual full of grace with different themes and colorful props wherein the most part where the dance shows the story of the past Filipino people and their acceptance to the religion Christianity. We also wanted to show gratitude through celebrating the fiest of miraculous image of the Holy Child Jesus, Sr. Santo Niño held on the third sunday of the month January. The church I visited was named after the Holy Child Jesus, Sr. Santo Niño.
Religion shapes our belief and being a Christian shaped me on and keeps me believing that God is there who is watching and planning better future for me than the struggles and hardships I am facing today.
All I can say is have faith, believe, and trust the process because the Lord is planning something bigger to everyone, we just need to have patience, be prepared and right time.
