20% payout to @steemitphcurator
Today, we are all gathered together to fulfill our plan to have a feeding event in one remote area and a flooded barangay here in Zone Ahos Barangay Paknaan Mandaue City. It is not an ordinary day for me because we have to cook food for about 100 people who live in that area and also give school supplies for the children and goods for their families.
Three weeks before this date we plan to conduct a charity event and organize funding. I would like to thank the following for unending support for our charity events especially to #Steemitphcurator, #Steemph.charity, and some members of #SteemitPhilippines Visayas Region that we gathered enough Funds for the event. Without them, we can not make the event happen and be successful.

Food Preparation and Packing of groceries for the families
Early in the morning, all steemians involved in the event are meet together in their waiting place and go together in @gracetorrion friend near the area. Some of the steemians are assigned to repack the goods for the families like milk, sardines, noodles, rice. We come up a total of 57 packs of goods for the families.
We cook the food like the rice and the fried chicken in the house. We decided to buy a finished cook bam-i for our friend who works in catering services.
Then we pack the foods that we will distribute to the children. We include rice, fried chicken, and bam-i for their lunch. We have pack for about 93 pieces of food pack for them. We are very happy that we come up with that quantity that we can share with them.
These are the complete food packs they receive.
I was assigned to cook the fried chicken. We help each other to have a successful charity event for the flooded areas of our selected place.
We pack also the school supplies with plastic so that it was easy for us to be distributed to all the children
We enjoy the packing of school supplies and groceries.
With the help of sir @christianyocte, he is the only man in a group. We have finished our cooking and repacking at 11:30 a.m. and some of us start to bring the food and goods to the area with our rented car.
Food Distribution in the area
We arrive at the area at exactly lunchtime. Many children and parents are waiting for us because they already know that we have a feeding event in their area. We see their face smiling and happy because of this simple gift that they will receive coming from us.
The first batch of children
We start the distribution by giving first the food packs to the children of younger age. They are assisted by their parent and very happy to take a picture in front of the tarpaulin we made.
We divided the children who will come inside the chapel for our distribution of foods to have a distancing.
Since we have an excess food pack we invited also the parent to fall in line and receive also the food. They are also happy and enjoy the day with us and follow our instructions to take a picture in front of our tarpaulin. They give us a big smile for their happiness.
Distribution of school supplies
After the food packs distribution, we directly distribute the school supplies for the children who enroll this year in the area. We start from a younger age grade 1 student.
Sir @christianyocte ask them simple questions before they receive the school. Some of them perfectly answer the question and some are not but they are all receiving the school supplies we give.
Distribution of groceries to the children and family
As we promise if we gathered excess funds for our feeding we decided to have a grocery pack for them so that their family will receive also a gift from us.
So we followed the distribution of groceries for one child in every family. They fall in line and receive the goods from us.
We have also an excess of groceries so we have decided to give groceries to the parents who attended the charity events. They are very happy that they have received goods from us. We see their face smiling and give a special message to the community.
It is the first fulfilled charity event of the community. It is very helpful for our constituents especially this pandemic that many families in the area have difficulty in providing for the needs of their families. They are very thankful to us that they receive this early Christmas gift from us. A happy smile they can give to us is the fulfillment of our advocacy of helping others who are in need. Hope that this is not only the first charity but we can continue to help others.
I would like to thank my team @maris75, @gracetorrion @analizasuperales @lonelymae @itsmejos that heartily support me until the day of the charity event. And also to my co-steemian sir @christianyocte that he gives his time has time and effort. Without you guys, I can not accomplish the event and I want to congratulate you all for our success.
Thank you #SteemitPhilippines and God bless!
