No Place Like Home (Part 2: Great Memories in the Stream)

This was our second day of vacation in our home town (Bohol). Early in the morning our dearest mother prepared our food for breakfast and right after we shared simple meals all together. After sharing the delicious meal prepared by Mom, my siblings and I decided to bathe into the stream (sapa) nearby the rice fields. So we went there all together excitedly. We need to take about 15 minutes walk before we arrive in the place. The way to the stream were not easy too. We need to cross the muddy rice fields manage to step into the inches wide dikes that was very slippery since it was raining hard last night. We need to be extra careful because we have with us toddlers too. In our way, sometimes we slipped and we even crawl. Walking in the dikes, you need to mastered your balance so that you will be not stumble and fall in the canal. We were all laughing in our chosen struggles just to cross the fields. When we arrived at the location, we were being amaze on what we had witnessed, we were mesmerized by the surroundings and how peaceful the place was. It was been 15 years since I bathe here. The water were fresh and clean, we can hear the birds singing from the branches of the tress with green leafy leaves and seem like our inner childhood was restored again. The feeling of excitement runs into our veins and we waste not a seconds to soak our body in the fresh water and swim from here to there just like an innocent child. The toddlers were enjoying their first bathe in the stream too, unbothered even if their knees were already shaking because of coldness. I didn't able to capture photos as we swim all together because my phone might possibly get wet and also theirs no one in there except us. I remember the song of Noel Cabangon which is the "KANLUNGAN" everyone surely know this very popular song. It really reminds me of my childhood memories. After four hours of swimming and soaking in the fresh water, we decided to go home already because aside from feeling very cold, we felt tired too for that very tiring activity. Immediately grab our towel on and took again the very challenging way to cross the muddy and slippery fields to our way home.
