About 4 days ago the Steemit Team released the September 1, 2022 update, they presented the new set of Community Curators for the month of September.
My salute to all those who were selected from among the 70 applicants, CONGRATULATIONS!
I am hoping that all of you will be able to give justice to a lot of original quality content spread from different communities within the #steemit ecosystem left unnoticed or not being acknowledged or given its due credit.

What struck me most about the update was the formation of that unique Team they call Team Freestyle, the last but not the least among the 6 brand new teams of Community Curators.
Few of the Changes
The Steemit Team already announced this in the application post for the Community Curator. They already dropped the specific themes normally allocated for each of the curatorβs teams meaning all teams are free to vote on posts regardless of the subject.
This is timely and may be coincidental. Steemit Philippines had launched its newest contest of the week and itβs been on for 6 days already. In contrast to our previous contests, we eliminated the required theme, so we allow any topic, members can write about anything under the sun.
Our goal was to encourage more writers to submit their entries, making it easier for them to take part because they will no longer struggle to find or come up with stories to tell since they can write about anything that comes to mind.
Another relevant change for September is voting on comments. The Steemit Team recommends for the curation teams to allocate a significant proportion of their voting capacity to interesting and valuable comments.
This will encourage everyone to make or leave sensible comments on every post they have read, thus promoting interaction among steemit members.
Going back to Team Freestyle, they have suggested and was given authority to curate any good quality posts even if they are not in the clubs, not steem exclusive, not bot free and finally not 300 words.
For me, this is a piece of good news for everyone. Most of the communities around had set the above-mentioned requirements for someone to be able to get the chance to be upvoted with a considerable amount of votes.
People find it hard to comply especially those who are just new to the platform. Good that because of the new update, these people will be given a chance and somehow will become more active in posting and interacting with other steemit members.
Personally, I also experienced this. Part of my task being one of the moderators of Steemit Philippines is to look for quality content to be recommended for booming support.
Each of the moderators will have to submit our Top 3 posts of the day during our assigned day of the week. And we have the same dilemma there were times wherein we really find it hard to select our Top 3 because even if there were a lot of quality posts, they fall short of one of the requirements like the 300 words condition.
So I encourage everyone to consistently write a blog and if you find it hard to make it longer, you can opt to submit a blog with less than 300 words, what is important is it is original or not a plagiarized post.
Looking forward...
I am now waiting for the result of the experiment, I hope there will be positive results that could make a significant change or improvement to the whole steemit community.
I would like to thank @weisser-rabe for such wonderful suggestions and more power to the Team Freestyle.
Maau unta modaghan ang active members and mainspire ug post and comment. Naa man jud times na wala kamao unsay isulat, advantage kaau jud ni nga initiative. At least, dili na everyday mapura ug piga para maabot ug 300 words. hehe
