Good day to all!
Here I am again for my entry of the Diary Games of our community, Steemit Philippines. Today, I will share to you what I got from our garden. This morning as I was watering our vegetables plants, I noticed that one Bitter gourd (ampalaya) is already mature and ready to harvest. It was not the usual size. It was small but I can tell that I is ready. This is our first bitter gourd harvest after so many of them got rotten before maturing. I am happy that finally we got one!!. :D Aside from the bitter gourd, I also harvested the last eggplant, parsley, some kamote tops and water spinach (kangkong)
Eggplant flower soon to become an eggplant. :D Just got inspired to take a photo of it.
It was my husband who cooked for our meals today. The original plan was to cook our harvest for our lunch. But we decided we will have it for dinner instead. We had tahong (green shells) for lunch and paired it of course with our black rice. We were all full.
After lunch we had our children's modules. The never ending modules LOL. I'm sure other parents out there can relate with me with this one. hahaha. Trying not to get stressed with the modules here. LOL My husband and I were both assisting our two children with there lessons. He is in charge with our second child and I am in charge with our eldest. Good thing he is here to help.
After our children's module I did my 30-minute exercise for this day. I need to burn some calories! Do you exercise? If you do, what is your form of exercise? I only do Walk At Home. I just follow a Youtube video. i have been doing it for four months now.
After my exercise, it is time to prepare for dinner.
This is the menu with the harvest we have this morning. Can you see the eggplant, bitter gourd, kamote tops and Kangkong there? heheh
We also made baked Tahong! Together with the vegetables. We had two Tahong recipes today. We made our own version of the baked tahong with basil, parsley and chives!! We have these herbs in our garden so we tried to add it to our version. And Yeah!! Yummy!!
Baked Tahong. Our version. with cheese, the cheese we used was not a quickmelt one, so there is our cheese on top LOL. But it was still delicious!

Wow! you have your own pantry filled with nutritious veggies just right at your backyard sis. It truly helps on the budget if you grow your own veggies and spices. Instead of buying them you just have to pluck it at the comforts of your own home. No need to go outside, iwas covid and You can save money as well plus the bonus is you get to harvest them fresh.
You have a very good chef at home. You must be very proud of your hubby. As the saying goes happy wife, happy life!
