A warm greeting from me to my Kababayan !
Help me welcome to this community through my introduction.

I am Mercy Matedios a sister of @kyrie1234, who introduce and encourage me to join this site and participate in this community. I am 25 years old and from Lapu-Lapu, Cebu but currently residing as an OFW in Japan for almost 2 years. I am holding my degree as a Bachelor of Elementary Education in a prestigious school of Cebu Normal University and had my teaching experience in a private school.

I am a teacher in profession but I am not practicing it now because I want to explore things and I am really passionate about finding what life is and finding some ways to really save money for the future and so I did. But I am not closing myself to be back on track someday.

Living here in Japan by myself taught me a lot and I can say that I am now an independent and strong woman. It is tough, yes it is but I can see myself now as a relentless problem-solver and always looking for a beautiful side of life everyday and cheering myself to work hard and improve for the betterment. I went to a various challenges while staying here and I am so thankful for the challenges that I'd encounter because it taught me to become a women and who really I am.

I am working gracefully as a baker here in Japan. As of now we are developing some innovative marketing campaigns to engage new costumers because the pandemic really affects the company's profit and because of this matter last month we were assigned at the farm and it is very hard because the whole day we were soaked in the heat of the sun but yet it is fun working in the farm.

Recently I've gotten interested in learning more their language to the fact that I bought a book and made a flashcard focusing on the Kanji or the Japanese writing using the Chinese character. I am also writing a diary in Japanese language and let my colleague check my work. It is very challenging and interesting. I do love learning and engaging myself to new things. And this is the reason why I am not active not until now here in this platform because everyday after work and in my holidays I am studying and learning their language very hard because I have a goal to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test this coming December and I am really praying and trying my best to pass the exam. And help me pray for this :)

Even if I am inactive for how many months I am still very grateful to this platform because it helps me discovered the different sides of mine. I socialized with the others and engaged myself in different platforms. And I am looking forward to participate and engage myself in this community. I will try my best and manage my time very well to have time and for me to be active in writing again.
