For today, I am going to do my first ever POWER UP! ❤️👊

I dedicate my first power up to Steemit Philippines because I want to start in my own country, together with my kababayan.

Basically, power up is about delegating our steem power to our chosen communities for the benefit of the entire ecosystem. Steem Power(SP) is very important in every users. An increase of SP means the higher voting capacity.

The reason why we need to delegate our SP is to help those who are new to the platform. To help them gain power to up vote and comment in a content.

WHERE TO FIND YOUR STEEM POWER

You can always check your steem power through your steem wallet.

CONVERTING SBD TO STEEM

STEP 1

In case you have a low steem power, one way to have them is through your steem dollars. Click the arrow down button and select Market.

STEP 2

You will be directed in this page where you can see the value of steem per sbd.

STEP 3

Key in the TOTAL portion the amount of SBD you want to convert to SP. In my case I put 5 sbd and the equivalent is 58 steem. Then click BUY STEEM.

STEP 4

You will be directed to this page for confirmation. Press OK.

STEP 5

Go back to your wallet. Check if there are changes with the value reflected on your steem. I already have 6 steem that is why I have 65 steem. 😊

LET'S DO THE POWER UP

FIRST

Click the drop down arrow. Select *Power Up.

SECOND

You will be directed to this page. Input the amount of steem you want to power up..

THIRD

You will be directed to a confirmation page. Leave blank the memo portion. Click OK

LASTLY

Check your steem power. Viola! You are now ready to delegate. 👍😊

DELAGATING STEEM POWER TO THE SELECTED COMMUNITY.

**FIRST **

One of the easiest way to know where to do delegate is going to your community's page. Some of them indicates the site where to delegate and all you have to do is click.

From the choices above, you may choose how many SP you want to delegate, in my case, I selected delegate 50 SP.

THIRD

You will be redirected to this page. You can see the giver and receiver of the SP. Click continue.

FOURTH

You will be ask to input your username. On the Steemit private posting key part, you should input the same key for your wallet and then click submit.

FIFTH

You will be directed to a confirmation page. Click approve.

LASTLY

You will see this page showing that your transaction is successful! So easy right? 🤣

I would like to thank my mentor @kyrie1234 for guiding me how to delegate and through her content I was able to understand how steem power works.
