If there's something that's amazing about being at the shoreline, it's the fishing scenes that one witnesses.

Growing up, I am used to seeing these fishermen go out of the shore to fish and then come hours after. Back when I was younger, and being a son of a fisherman, I had my own share of experiences in carrying the wooden boats from the shore to the waters and vice versa.

Thanks to the hard work of m father who had spent most of his time in the sea fishing just so we can go to college. I was a DOST scholar and that helped me very much with the tuition fees but the allowances have to be shouldered by my parents. I always wonder where they get the money every single week that's why I make sure to budget it well. I have to eat on a budget.

Now that I am already working in the corporate world and thanks to God for His favor and blessings, I could afford the things that I never had the chance to enjoy as a child and as a teenager, one of which is my hobby of photography. If not for the support and persistence of my parents, I might reach this status in life and so I honor them for they had pushed all of us siblings to study, education was very important to them because they were not able to graduate themselves. They were both high school graduates though.

With the love of photography, I can capture things that I could only remember as memories back then. Now, I have an actual soft copy of that memory. Seeing the fishermen go out and drop their nets reminded me of the hardships that my parents went through especially my father.

These images were taken with a Sony ZV-E10 with a Sony 85mm lens early morning at Lagnason Beach, Lagunde, Oslob, Cebu, Philippines.
