Hello steemians! The photo above may look blurry but the memories that lies within are so clear in my mind. Digital mobiles weren't trending during this 3-decade old photo if am not mistaken! It was against the light so please bear with me. Anyways, that photo was taken on a summer day when hubby aboarded his ship. He always liked the sea as any seaman would be as much as my kids.
It was a fine weather and the kids were already excited that you don't need to tell them on what to prepare because they've already packed that night for their swimming the following day! Their swimsuits and swimming trunks well packed inside their backpacks with some extras. Lol!
Why this blurry photo when I have more of those in my file? It's because they're so precious to me my friends! It's one among those photos when we were still complete, so happy together. We had this summer escapade at Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental.
I always love seeing photos of us together. The three of them are now in the Bossom of our Heavenly Father. My eldest daughter went first at age 18 way back 1997 followed by my husband last 2012 then my son after 5 months. We cannot fathom God's will but one thing for sure is that everything has a purpose so let it be. I am still thankful for the good times we had together and that's more than enough for me. But one thing that hits me hard is the emptiness I felt within, of missing them terribly. I would have preferred to have gone first so I won't feel this pain of lossing them....
This is the reason why it's my most Unforgettable summer escapade. They're all grown ups now with kids who also loves the sea as much as we do. Perhaps we can do it again when time permits because distance have kept us apart, each with responsibilities of their own.
