Hi there! Travels are scarce nowadays because of the pandemic so for the sake of cooperation and love to our very own Steemit Philippines, I need an little digging and excavation to unearth some beautiful moments which I doubt would ever happen again.

This photo was taken wayback in 2016 when my daughter came home from Saudi. It has been our pact to spend quality time away from home to unwind ourselves and breath some air at sea. My daughter chose Jomabo Island.

Now that my kids are all grown ups with respective works of their own, seldom can we have a complete gathering because of the distance that separates us from each other. You need to make the necessary arrangements first and pay whatever package you'd like to take for reservations. We rented a cottage good for 4 days @10kphp. That was fair enough for a family of ten.

One of the staffs met us at Calatrava Port. It was a 30-minute ride. I've prepared cooked food so we don't need to buy outside white traveling. Well, I see to it that my brood won't be famished on the way! Anyways, we had so much fun. The seawater was just below our cottage when it's high tide!

During night time, we would spread our mat on the sand as we stared at the twinkling stars up above, feeling the cool sea breeze on our salty cheeks.

The rest got up when they saw some lights coming from the lamps of fishers. It's time to look for those little crabs and squids lurking in the sands and under the coral rocks! How the kids enjoyed their catch! I cleaned it and asked for spices at the one in charge. They went night swimming while I cooked their catch. It tasted sweet and raw.

The following day was filled with activities. We did yacking. The small ones rode too but just along the aisle while the big ones tried to tour around the islet. I tried my luck too but I didn't know how to wade that I bumped along the mangroves. Lol! My grandson came to my rescue. Then we went to the sandbar and took pictures while the others played volleyball tossing only. The guard who was watching us warned us not to go farther because the current is strong and unpredictable during high tide.

Summing it all, it was all worth the price and most of all, I was the happiest because my kids and grandkids were with me. We've spent quality time together away from the internet traffic!

This is all for now, thank you everyone and to #steemitphilippines community, and to our curators! Mabuhay!
