Hi everyone a blessed afternoon to all
The handmaids of the Lord visited the church of St. Peter and Paul in Bantayan Island, the last Church that made our pilgrimage of holy doors complete, for the celebration of 500 years of Christianity. We have 13 churches in the list and Bantayan Island was the last church we visited because of its location, very far from the City. It took us almost 6 hours to reach the place. The church was already civilized just like in many other churches in the mainland. From our place in lapu-lapu City we ride a van to take us to Hagnaya Port in northern part of Cebu. It was a long journey we departed at 4:30 at dawn time and we arrived at Hagnaya Port at 7:20 in the morning we traveled for almost 3 hours.
Hagnaya Port
Traveling early at dawn is not ordinary
for me but i had to deal with my fellow handmaids in the community to make our pilgrimage victorious as our aim since from the very first holy door we had visited.
On board going to Bantayan Island
Reaching to the boat was the nicest feeling by that time because that was the time we ate our stocks, since we left home early without eating our breakfast. We found a good spot in the boat and we felt manageable rides to carry us to Bantayan Port. It was so comfortable for us and thankful for we arrived so safe.
Arrived at Sta. Fe Port Bantayan
The Sta. Fe in Bantayan outside Port
Bantayan Port was located at Sta.Fe, we arrived at 10:30 in the morning it was a sunny day and the sun is so hot that time. We had requested a multicab to carry us to St. Peter and Paul Church so that we can continue our last holy door and the successes of our pilgrimage.
St. Peter and Paul Holy Door
After saying our prayers we took photos inside the church. We wear red color on our upper attire as a sign of victory after our 13th holy doors completed. We were praying humbly that our petitions will be heard and granted by our Lord God who is the great above all.

Handmaids of the Lord
Everyone looks so delighted as we were done our pilgrimage. We take photos for our souvenirs in this church because we came here for the first time and we don't know yet if we can come back here again.
The Altar
We were not able to stay closed to the altar because when we arrived there was a wedding ceremony and we do not want to disturb the ritual so we prefer to stay at a few distance away.
After our picture taking inside the church we decided to take photos outside the church. The location outside was so beautiful with the big trees that gave shades and cool breeze.

The experience was so precious doesn't matter how tired the journey was and the expenses we spent, all was offered to the Lord who are the owner of everything in this world.
Thank you and God bless us all
Always,
