Cheap car, Friendship and Heartache

Hello Steem friends! How are you all? I hope you are well and happy.

How are you doing? It's love month, actually, I got lost in time and I thought today was the first day of the month. Too sad some people will be celebrating this month's special day anymore because they've got a broken heart.

Before fetching me from work yesterday, he went to Tatay's house to pay him a visit. I don't know Tatay's name and I only knew him because if my husband when he was still on his scrap business. And he is a friend of my late father too, My father sold his acetylene to him when way back years ago.

In the last month of 2022, my husband told me that his wife went to Manila. They have no children because he dedicated his 25 years abroad as a mechanic.

On the way to Tatays house, I asked my husband if Tatay's wife had gotten home already but he told me they were separated already and I felt so sorry for the man. He is past his senior years and the love of his life left him for good. And I prayed that the same won't happen to me and my husband when he would think he is done with me in the years to come.

Since Tatay was a mechanic, he was asked by his old customer to sell his Hyundai car. Somebody had promised to buy at already but when he saw my husband earlier, he changed his mind and offered it to him from 80 thousand pesos to 55 thousand. He said he would give a discount since my husband is his friend and he will give us the machine he fixed too! and it will be an extra machine if the latter would problems in the future.

I think it would be a great deal but we don't need cars YET. We have a motorcycle and it is more convenient to use. Also, I and my husband don't have money to buy yet. We still have land, and a motorcycle to pay; we are trying to save 1,400 pesos per salary this year so that at the end of the year, we can give money to the land owners and we could use the land This way, we can build boarding house or we can live and sell there. I pray that God will grant it to us.

Now Tatay only had three dogs with him at his house and some cattle and goats to take care of giving him reason to live.

I told my husband to visit Tatay often when he has some free time so the man won't be depressed because of his loneliness. I hope his wife will realize his worth and come back to his life, I guess it's not too late yet, no?
