Long queue, good old friends, and Voting; Part 2 of m May 2022 election journey

So after I shouted to call for my husband who went past without seeing me and asked for a facemask in the barangay health worker, he finally saw me, and he seems very happy. My loud calls even caught the attention of the people nearby, making that girl curious and my camera caught it. Also, people at the back were like usherettes, they guide people to go to the other side of the school for the exit.

After I ate the food that I asked of him, we then tried to find the room where we are assigned to vote; he was very concerned about mine, that he find it first and texted me but never cared about his. A little later, I soot in line while he was still finding his. I tried lots of times fining him in the vote verifier of the Comelec but it took me over 10 minutes before I found out, just the same time when he found his on the list of names posted outside each room.

Being in line for a long queue does not feel good, especially since the sun is still up in the sky. My husband found out that we will be voting in the same room so he called me to be with him, there were seven people between us at that time. i diverted my attention to getting photo graphs that should be worth sharing and I appreciated their initiative of putting a very long tube installed with many water faucets fro the kids to be able to wash their hands before entering their classrooms. Soaps are hung beside the faucets too for easy access.

We took a selfie while in line, enjoying the moment that we are together even with the long waiting that we have to endure; at least we're together.

Here is a photo of the line. These people were ahead of us, the line after the standing people will go into the classroom on the left for the people to sit, which is supposed to be a waiting area slash holding area. The moderators said that people did not arrive until, after lunch, we on that same percent su have thought of the same thing; to arrive late in the day so that others will have their chance to vote in the morning and we can avoid waiting in line. I guess you might have thought otherwise.

On, my right side is the group of women whose ages are ranging from 40 to 60s. they are having fun, talking about lots of things and people. I even heard them being called Marites by a newcomer who is one of their friends and a familiar woman says, "duh, mag-unsa nalang ang Alae kung walay marites" and they all laughed.

My husband had been on duty on Sunday and he only got very little sleep; today, all of the CVOS and BPAT personnel were asked to report for duty. With very little sleep, almost 3 hours of duty, and hot weather, my husband had grown tired that he excused himself from the line and went to sit on a concrete landscape slash garden decor on the side. He said he had dozed off a little and excused himself to get water. On his return, he felt alive, and back on the line, we saw our old friend bringing three of their kids. We met them back in the time that we all worked at the biscuit company back in the days.

They let thier children amin to us, the same we did when our kids see them. seeing good old friemds feels so good.

After almost like decades of standing, Aaaaah finally, a chair. Since my husband was ahead of me, he was the first to be able to sit down. But I was not able to capture photos anymore; My husband borrowed my phone to entertain himself and prevent him from sleeping.

We heard that the machine operator was changed and so the process became faster. When it was my turn to get the ballot, one of the teachers say that they already catered to 512 people; and the overall count is only 700 plus. just a little more and it will be over, they said. we selected and voted for our candidates, a great privilege for us as Filipino citizens to select our leaders. May that election will bring us high in progress.

All of my kids are at Nanay's; hubby needs to stay so I walked my way to Nanay's house. We were invited for dinner and me and my kids got home at 8 pm and got myself a very good sleep.

so that's how the second part of that day happened. Oh, in the morning the next day,I switched the TV on and celebrated that his was already 3o million at that time, way too high compared to other candidates.

Thanks for being with me. Keep safe.
