Chocolate

Chocolate with salty peanut butter was what he offered, all he ever gave her.

"You like to have a bite?"
The bar was right in front of her face. It smelled so good how could she resist? It felt as one of those rare celebration times good for lemonade, pie and... chocolate.
She closed her eyes tried to ignore the gift but kept smelling it.
"No one will find out if you take a quick bite..."
She had kept her head down, don't talk to strangers... in a flash she noticed the brown legs in front of her, brown like chocolate.
Quickly she took a bite, no one knew she did or?
The smell, what was that awful odor? Brown legs, brown like chocolate...

As she woke up she knew she had that dream again. A dream about a little kid playing outside. It felt familiar to her but at the same time, it didn't. There was nothing familiar about the place she had seen, the child. She knew the dream would remain with her till the moment she fell asleep again. It was still dark outside. She could tell by the beam on the wall. It was brought by a streetlight and enough to find her way in the dark, to tell her the difference between day and night. It was one of those few signs telling her time did pass by.
"A bit more sleep won't hurt who knows the little kid makes me wiser."

She felt weird. Wrapped in a blanket, strapped in her own bed.
"Dad?"
