During the coronavirus pandemic, when everyone was still on high alert but restrictions on movement has been eased I saw a curious event some might even call it humorous, if you are that kind of funny.
I was on my way home from work about to get on a tricycle and I came across some policemen trying to contain a very energetic woman, she was slightly plump and well endowed in womanly gifts so they were trying to restrain her without grabbing anything inappropriate. I found that a bit odd.
Then a group of heavy set matronly policewomen came up in a rusty pickup truck and manhandled the woman into the vehicle. I was intrigued by the statements the police were making, they kept saying the woman endangered herself and the people around her, so they were detaining her for her safety.
I later learned that the reason for all the commotion was she didn't wear a face mask and the policemen were trying to get her to pay a fine hush hush and she wasn't having it, she kept insisting her house was around the corner. The shouting match was probably unwise as the situation deteriorated into going to the station.
I was very amused by the fact that all the while this was happening not a single police officer male or female wore any face mask all the while destroying any sort of social distancing. Maybe they thought the uniforms made them immune.
So much for safety and curbing the spread, this situation is very much like what happens at the bank everyday where for our safety we are made to enter the bank in select numbers and maintain social distance.
But a few meters from the entrance of the bank we have a mob of people fighting, pushing, shouting, we have clusters of people discussing all the while exterminating any concept of social distance and likely infecting people before they enter the bank.
This system of madness and order coinciding should have gotten every one in the country killed by now, I don't know how we are all still alive.
