TEMPTATION **************** EPISODE 7: 20% to @teamg-nigeria

I felt bad, but that was the least of my worries. Alice’s party was on Saturday, which was two days from now; it was going to be a night party, and I had no idea how I was going to attend…

I got home that morning and decided to catch up on the classes I had missed when Dad called me, I stood up reluctantly from my bed and went out to answer his call. We hadn’t been in talking terms since the uniform incident, and it was such a relief for me.

I met him and my mum seated, and he asked me to take my seat. He told me that there was a regional Pastors and ministers re-treat coming up on Saturday, at the headquarters, which was about 5hours’ drive from here. He said that he and my mum, along with my aunt and uncle would be leaving very early on Saturday morning, so I would have to baby sit my cousin and nephew till Sunday evening when they return.

Excitement rushed through my veins like a gushing water, I couldn’t believe it; even God was on my side again! ‘Thank you Jesus!’ I muttered to myself;
“What did you say?” I heard my dad’s voice.

“I said I’m going to miss you guys” I said close to tears (of excitement)
“”Awn* my little girl, I know it’s your first time, but you have to be a good girl for mum okay? Or should I stay behind?”
“No!” I didn’t know when it escaped from my mouth, she seemed to be taken aback, so I added; “I don’t want to be the reason you will miss such a wonderful avenue to grow spiritually. So, don’t worry about me, I will be fine” I said with an innocent smile.

“Thank you dear, you can go back to your room now.”
“Before you go” I heard my dad say as I started to my room; “take” he handed me an android phone; “I will collect it as soon as I come back, it’s just so I can communicate with you while I am gone.”

“Alright sir” I said quickly and ran into my room. I quickly locked my door and started to pounce on my bed continuously. That was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to me in my life; not only do I get to go to the party, I also got a phone! My excitement knew no bound.

But then, something struck me, my cousin and nephew were coming! I sank on my bed confused, the girl, who should be 8years by now is a devil, she and her brother, 6 are just so annoying, and they can frustrate the living daylight out of a person. I guess I would just have to look for a way to deal with them but I was thankful that the biggest opposition was out!

School the next day was great as we spent most of the time gisting about Alice’s birthday the next day, and what we were going to wear. I couldn’t talk much because I was sure I didn’t have what to wear, and that was a big problem for me. I just concentrated on my phone, playing games. Then I heard a voice;
“Hey!” it was Alex, and he had the sweetest smile I had ever seen
“Hi” I blushed.

“Hope you are coming tomorrow night?” he asked blinking his sexy eyes
“Of course, Alice is my friend” I said enchanted
“Good, so I will see you there?” he asked licking his sexy pink lips
“Sure” I said with a shy smile. Is that your phone?” he asked pointing at my dad’s phone
“Yeah! My dad just got it for me yesterday” I lied
“Ohh okay. Can I have a look?”

I gave it to him, and he put his number in it, and flashed his phone.
“I will call you latter” he said handing it over to me.
“I will be expecting” I said as I took it from him.

He stretched forth his hands and I shook it, then he turned my hand, and brushed his lips on my Dorsum. Hot blood rushed through my veins as my body began to tremble, he winked at me and left.
‘Even If fire fall from heaven tomorrow, I must be there!’ I thought…

I went home that evening in an ever joyous mood, I met my parents and my uncle and his family all eating in the dinning. I greeted them, and was about going to my room, when I heard a sharp and tiny voice;
“Why do you dress like this to school? Don’t your friends laugh at you?” my devilish cousin, Deborah said
I looked at her in anger as her father scolded her; “hello dear, I am fine and school was great; what about you?” I asked sarcastically, she shrugged her shoulders and looked away as I walked into my bedroom; ‘this is a challenge I must conquer’ I thought to myself…

The rest of the evening was cool as I successfully avoided my nosy Cousin, and I chatted a lot with Alex.
Then, the day I had been waiting for finally came. We were awoken by 4am for morning devotion; dad preached that morning on Temptation, and we prayed for God’s guidance thereafter, mum made us recite the Lord’s Prayer.
They left for the Conference at about 6am, and my dad gave me a strict warning to behave myself, and my Cousin and Nephew to be Obedient. My uncle gave me some money secretly so that my Dad wouldn’t notice, but my cousin’s eyes sees all things…

Now, Preparation Begins!!!!!
