When we pray, God gives. Hence, after praying, our actions and words should be in line with our requests. An Example we see in the Bible is Zacharias. Luke 1:13 says, “But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.” An angel appeared to Zacharias telling him that his prayer to God is answered and his wife, Elisabeth, will bear a child. How did Zacharias respond to those words? Luke 1:23-24 says: “And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months.”
image source Except in the case of Jesus Christ, God has set a law in place for a woman to conceive which is by a man and woman engaging in sexual intercourse. Hence, Zacharias took steps of faith. After his ministration, it reads that he departed to his own house. (Verse 24) Now, observe verse 24, "...and after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived..." Elisabeth didn't conceive when the angel gave the word. It was after Zacharias departed to his house that she did. So, you have prayed, you believe God heard you, now act on what you have prayed for. Did you pray for a job? Go ahead and send out your CV. Did you pray for clients for your business? Go ahead and send out proposals. Did you pray for healing? Let your words and actions agree with your request. Did you pray for an admission? Go ahead and apply. Did you pray for a child? This is not the time to stay away from your spouse. Did you pray for boldness to preach the gospel? Go ahead and preach the gospel. Whatever you have asked for, take actions in line with what you have asked for. Sister, Brother, it's time to act on what you have received in prayer.
