Hello steemians. Good evening
So this is me waking up to harsh reality of life in Nigeria as of March last year. I never really had put much thought into what my life would be like in about 7 years from last year. Reason being that I was clouded with the mindset that the certificate which I'll obtain from the University was a guarantee for a good future. That cloud was taken off me when I witnessed graduates losing their jobs in the blink of an eye because someone above them was getting less than he or she should be getting off from the labour of others due to the lockdown imposed during the covid-19 outbreak. Some had their salaries slashed into two and what was left for them was nothing to write home about. I realized it was never going to be enough handling life the way I was doing so I decided to look for alternatives to add to my certificate. And I'm happy to say it hasn't been easy. I'm still hanging on and hoping that I don't get to fall prey to the fallacy that a certificate will guarantee a Nigerian a better life.
