Happy new year in advance to all steemians!.
As the year 2020 draws its cottons to a permanent close, I experienced my worst moment. I never expected it but it happened.
Today 31st December which was the new year watch night traditionally known as cross over night, I went to church like every other cross over night to usher myself into the new year inside a church.
At about 10:20 pm, just few hours before the new year, I suffered a heart break because I lost the screen of my phone.
It all happened like this
There was some group of teenagers who were going to perform during the cross over service. We practiced together even though I could not dance with them as I could not master the step.
The performance was a success and everyone was clapping and applauding them that our bishop had to gift each of them a thousand naira each(1000). I was happy for them and went to celebrate with them for their success.
I told them to give me some share of the income so I can settle my stomach, but they were acting like they don't know me anymore. As I collected one of their money, he dragged my pocket and my phone fell face-down to the tiles.
I was speechless and sad. The incident automatically ruined my joy and happiness. I taught about my phone screen and I cheered up my self feelings grateful to God that the phone is not totally damaged.

I asked a man who repairs phone about my broken screen and he told me to come to his shop on Monday with atleast 10k = $26.45 to repair the screen. The amount was too high because I didnt save for such emergency spending. I already bought some shoes and clothes for new year.
I might not be able to post for some time until I repair my broken screen typing is a little bit more stressful. I learnt a big lesson today and I entered my 2021 with fullness of joy in my heart
