I'm glad I'm in this community and this is my second post in this community, kudos to @supo1 for organizing this contest.
My story about the Stranger I won't is not a fiction but rather a true story and this is how it goes.
In July 2017 after my academic session I when back home as usual as, after every academic session in school I do go back home to do some work and generate money to pay for my school for my school needs like school fees, house rent and other school expenses. So on getting home (Lagos) I applied for some job's and i was employed to work in a factory that produce agro-sack. Although the pay wasn't much but it was enough to care of some of my needs then.
On a faithful day while going to work around 6am (we work from 7am - 7pm), the day wasn't that bright then as we were experiencing shorter day and longer night.
Getting to some few meters to where I work, I felt a hand hold me from behind immediately fear grip me, only for me to turn and hear an elderly woman in her 50's if I'm not exaggerating to say my son please help me, my children have not eaten anything since yesterday, at that point I was calm no more fear.
I was having a thousand naira (#1,000) on me for my day expenses mostly my transport and feeding for that day. so I told the elderly woman that I don't have change with me and that it will be hard for me to see someone that can change the money for me, right there she told me my son I don't want the money, I don't know if you can get me anything I can give me children to eat, right there tears wanted to come out from my eyes but I had to control myself. I walked with her taking a detour from my original destination to where we can get someone.
Finally, we saw lady trying to open a shop, we when there waited for her to finish opening the shop and praying. After she finish we got the necessary foodstuff that I can afford then, then finally when back to work late with two hundred naira for my transport.
Up till date I can't forget that moment because I have never been confronted by someone like that in my life.

We should try and show a little kindness, it doesn't have to necessary be monetary

I had experience something similar before. I gave the person my transport money. I had to trek home. The most touching thing that could make me to move with compassion is for someone should tell me he/she have not eaten. Thanks for sharing

I was really touched that day
You're welcome sir
