El nombre de esta banda que coloquialmente se podría traducir como El PUNK es Basura o simplemente Punk Basura, es una expresión que le escucho uno de los líderes de esta banda, en la boca de uno de los padres de él, que se refería a este estilo musical y que esperaba que su hijo generara otro estilo o genero musical. La muy conocida banda Daft Funk ganadora de varios premios Grammys, ha marcado el fin de siglo 20 y comienzos del siglo 21, con su imagen única, a la que muchos comentan diciendo que ellos nunca muestran sus rostros, cuando en realidad en sus comienzos como toda banda no usaban su conocidos cascos, pero hoy definitivamente si los dejaran causarían extrañeza, pues su imagen característica y única. el tema que comparto con todos es justamente el que mas premios y discos de oro y platino ha logrado. En este tema son acompañados por el cantante Pharrell Williams y el musico, guitarrista, arreglista y cantante Nile Rodgers, quien lamentablemente murió poco después del lanzamiento del disco.
