Have you ever lost something that was very important to you?(If you have a picture of the item please share it with us)

Yeah I have lost too many things I have lost in my life. Some of them are precious and some are just ordinary. Believe me it's a long list of losing my precious things in life. I will go here with a book. It has too much saddened when I lost it. Actually it was a novel "Great expectation" which is my most favorite one.

The things which made it so much important for me is it's background, how I got that book. It is the story of 2010 when was in class 8. One of my best friends gifted this book to me. She is my closest friend since 3rd class.

We were in the same school till our matric ( class 10), But unfortunately got separated after matriculation. Her father was a Railway officer. They shifted to Peshawar. I had that book as a memory of her for more than 10 years. It has her writing, signatures and too many memories of her. I lost it back in 2020 during COVID-19.

One day I was getting bored inside my house. I thought of reading that novel. I searched it for almost an hour, but I couldn't found it. Not a single place left unchecked, but I couldn't got it and the saddest thing I lost it forever. Still I don't get it.

What emotions did you experience upon losing the item?

I was too much emotional and sad upon losing that book. It was the only sign left with me of my childhood bestfriend. We don't have any communication. I don't know where is she now and same she doesn't know about me. Whenever I remembered my childhood days I picked up that book, but Alas! I don't have it now.

Even now when I see a collection of books in my house, I check them one by one, if I find that my book there. I wish I find it back.

Did you do anything to find it?What was the result?

I did a search operation of my entire house. Along with my siblings I searched each and every corner of the house, but we couldn't found it. I was too much crazy that I was blaming my mom that you have thrown it away or burned it. She always says I haven't touched it.

I told my siblings who ever bring me that book back I am going to give them two thousand rupees. Everyone was searching like a crazy Police or CID team hahaha! Unfortunately that idea didn't work either. They searched it alot, but in vien, we still can't find it.

My Mom told me to buy new one. I told her it's not that the book is important for me, it is the one who gave it to me is important. She is my childhood friend and it was her last and only memorial with me.

What steps do you follow to avoid losing such precious items in the future?

To avoid losing of your precious things in your room, the first and far most thing is never let anyone to enter your room. I have lost my book because my room was a fish market. Keep your cupboard and all the lockers properly locked.

Always locked your precious things. Do check them after sometime. Before losing my book I last time read it approximately one year ago. For one year I didn't check it and it leads to it's permanent lost.

Now , I would like to invite @suboohi, @shahid2030 , @m-fdo, @alejos7ven and @steemdoctor1 to take part in this incredible contest. Thanks for all reading my post.

Greetings my friend!!!

Definitely throughout our lives we always lose those important things and sentimental value that has for us regrettable, that you have lost that book and of course it is not the same as buying a book as his mother said, because it is the feeling that it was your best friend who gave it to you is that feeling of appreciation and affection will never be the same to buy another.

We must always be attentive to everything so as not to lose anything!

I wish you many successes and blessings in this challenge! 🤗🤗

Salam

Hello dear friend, greetings to you. Hope you are having good days of your life.

Books are obviously the important things in one's life. You lost your childhood friend's book which you were emotionally attached with. It was a sign of your childhood best. I wish you get that book back.

You are always at the top when it comes to write something. I really admire your writing.
Best wishes for the contest.
