Diary (03-01-2025) || "Today we organized our newborn's first haircut at home."

Hello Friends,
The 4th new member of our 3rd generation family is my nephew. Today he is 19 days old. Today he will have his hair cut. Today is Good Friday. There has been joy in the house since morning because of his hair cut. I woke up in the morning and went to our rice seedbed and the four rice plants are growing quite well after getting fertilizer and regular irrigation. I spent some time there and came home.

There are some religious rules that we have to follow for the first haircut of a newborn baby. A new blade has been brought for cutting hair. After cutting the newborn's hair, the hair is weighed and the same amount of gold or silver is donated to a needy person or a religious institution. Which is considered as Sadaqah Zaria for the newborn. In the name of this donation, the newborn's diseases and a good life are expected. After cutting the hair, the newborn has to be given a beautiful meaningful name and performed Aqiqah. We will perform Aqiqah two more days later, that is, on the 21st day of the newborn's birth, today is his 19th day.

Taking a shower after getting a haircut

To cut the newborn's hair, we are waiting for him to sleep so that we can cut his hair while he is sleeping and there is no problem. I am not used to cutting hair with this razor, so I had to cut my hair myself. I finished cutting my hair and gave it to my mother and she bathed him. Although according to Islamic tradition, the child's hair should be cut within 7 days of birth and given an aqiqah with a beautiful name, we will do the aqiqah on the 19th day by putting it on the head and on the 21st day.

After the newborn's bath, we cut our nails and took a bath to attain purity. Today, Friday, our holy Jumma, I have to go to the mosque. I put on my Punjabi, applied perfume (perfume) and went to the mosque to offer prayers. After returning from the mosque, I had lunch and sat in the sun.

Our house cat is also basking in the sun. This cat will give birth to a baby in a few days. We are taking good care of the cat to get pregnant. I had no other work in the afternoon, so I visited our agricultural land. I am finishing today, may Allah protect me.
