I wanted to wish all my Steemian friends are well and healthy. Today, I will share with you one day in my life. This was Thursday and the morning was bright, fresh, and chilly, which is perfect for my kind of weather, winter. As soon as I freshened up, I took my cup of tea, before the start of the day and thereby of the tasks that would ensue.
I was fortunate to accomplish some cleaning activities around the house before waking up to find my son. His sleepy smile was the initial sign of my day to be busy.
When the morning duties were over, I started organizing myself for the second meeting of the community women welfare association of the month. It was a important day because we were also forming a new committee. Later I got ready and went to the community office while my baby was still sleeping at home. The meeting was brief and also an effective one with at most one hour duration. An important appointment to the committee was made, as we finally got a chance to form a complete team.
After the meeting was over I went home to meet my little one awake waiting to cuddle with me. The noon was just as active as the morning, bringing lunch preparations as well as each day’s struggle with how to feed a baby – which in my case included finding out whether my son will eat with the TV on or using a tablet.
After the lunchtime stampede, my husband joined me from his place of work. Adding a special flavor into our day, it was November 21, Armed Forces Day and there was a program arranged for defense personnel's/officer's in Jashore Cantonment. It was my first time to attend such an event and I had this passion and curiosity too.
I wore a saree for the event, he appropriate dress code to fit the formal nature of the event but at the same time it was festive. The venue was well decorated by the Jashore Division Armed Forces. The audience consisted of officers, their wives and other distinguished guests, and the official program itself was a tasteful combination of ceremonial and nonceremonial performances. It was good to have friends to accompany me some of us even had tea to mark the occasion of the tea party and took a lot of pictures.
After coming home I had a little break and decide to cook corn soup with fried chicken for dinner it was very hot and tasty. Every time we speak of winter evenings together with soup, then it will always rhyme.
Later on a craving for chotpoti spurt in me and to my surprise there were some in the fridge. The microwave I used took a few minutes and with that I had my snack for the evening.
Gazing back now I see it was a combination of work, family time, and being a part of something big and meaningful. It made recall how these jam packed days still contained memories if only one was willing to take a little time and appreciate it.
