I wish that all the friends of Steemian are healthy, happy and joyful in the manners you find most appropriate. As for me, everything is fine, and even better when everyone has their own house, as we did recently. Still, sadness washes over me when I am aware that the current floods are occurring in obscure regions of Bangladesh, bringing significant discomfort to the people in those regions. These people go through quite a lot of pain, and it just breaks my heart to know that they are struggling through this phase of their lives.

But as usual, the bad news arrive and sad things happen but life goes on and at the moment I have been doing all the home and other chores, and other things I do outside the home trying to make the best out of each day. If I were to describe my day as par usual, probably the events would go thus: Get up of bed, wash face and brush teeth in the wash bench, go to the kitchen to prepare a meal. Actually a day begins when the husband goes to work, and when a baby is up from his nap. But today is not that one; it is Saturday, the day off for my husband, so he is here. I woke up early, freshened up, and made my way to the kitchen to prepare a simple yet delicious breakfast: porota with alu vaji, beef bhuna and freshly fruits. We had breakfast which was involving, the whole family, and was surprising how good it was to start the day with the family.

As usual I took some time to take a cup of tea after breakfast before being hectic for the rest of the day. I was able to take my baby boy out a little and just play with him and see his pure, genuine happiness and then focused on the lunch preparations. After this rather impressive meal, most of us had a rather long siesta.

In the afternoon we thought that buying some items for ourselves in town was a good idea. Thus, we had to call our usual auto driver, who arrived and we left for our destination at once. It was a pleasant day for a tour and the good weather only added to our great drive around the city.

We went first to the showroom Best Buy, to buy a few items for the house. That having been said, and one must remember that the chief motive was our desire to purchase a couple of fish from the local store for the aquarium I have in my home and some plants for my balcony.

Next, we went to the aquarium store; I then picked a few fish, to be introduced into the home aquarium. Although I did not purchase many as I did not like the others, I intend to come back for more. I also bought one fighter fish and I put it in a different glass jar for they cannot be companions with other fish.

Then we went to a nursery of our own where I purchased some beautiful plants. I have always liked plants, however, they can be rather demanding and some of the plants I had did not make it. It is never pleasing to lose them but I have high expectations with such new comers.

When we were returning back home, there was a man who had just harvested some watermelons and he was selling them along the street. We made a long halt in order to buy two for ourselves along with the other people who seemed to have interest of taking the sweetness of the juicy and succulent fruit. We then proceeded home with our watermelons happy with the day’s buy and the company we had enjoyed.

On returning to the house I started working immediately. Since I had already cleaned the aquarium, I proceeded to put the new fish in their new environment carefully. The fighter fish I placed in a different glass jar. Then I concentrated on the plants. I placed them in containers and placed all of them in an orderly manner in the balcony for them to grow.

In the evening we decided to visit a nearby market to purchase some vegetables and fruit purchase which was a few minutes’ drive from our residence.

Having done all that, I felt justified. It was a fruitful day at work while at the same time the day was productive in that it was not always working but free time was utilized. I can solely vouch on the wonderful journey of life and looking forward to many such great days!
