Greetings members of @steem4bangladesh and all members of this great platform, I must say that am very happy participating in this contest organised by @msharif.

Introduction
Climate change and global warming is very common in our environment, like in Nigeria now some people are facing heat why some are facing cold, like me am currently facing cold in my area and it's not been easy for but honestly speaking I prefer this cold than heat any way without wasting time let me go to the business of the day.

What do you understand by global warming and climate change

In my own understanding and based on what I was taught in my secondary School, Global warming can be seen as the long term warming of the planets overall temperature, it also refer as the rise of global temperatures due mainly for the act of increasing concentration of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Climate change refers to the long-term shifts in the weather patterns and temperatures.

For those who don't know the meaning of Greenhouse gas Greenhouse gas are gases in the earth atmosphere that traps heat.
What are the cause of global warming and climate change
The causes of global warming and climate change are as follows:

• Consuming too much: How we move around, what we eat everday and how much we throw them away contributes to green house gas ejection, our lifestyle the way we live have a profound impact in our planet.

• Food production: Food production also cause radiation of methane, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in different ways including through
  clearing of lands for agricultural purpose and grazing, digestion and also consumption of Grass by sheep, goats and cows, Transportation, production and use of fertilizers, Use of energy to run farm equipment such as fishing boat usually with fossil fuels I can tell you that all this mentioned above make food production a huge contribution to climate change and global warming.

• Deforestation: Deforestation simply means the cutting down of forest which also contributes to Global warming and climate change, cutting down of trees of forest to create pasture or farm or for other person reasons causes rejection, when they are cut they released the carbon they have been storing.

• Power generation: Generating heat and electricity by burning fossil fuels causes a bountiful chunk of global radiation. Note Globally a bit more than a quarter of electricity come from solar and wind.

What are the natural disasters that we can face due to global warming and climate change

They are many natural disasters we can face during this trials, some I could remember are

• forest fires
• Hurricanes
• Heat Waves
• Floods
• Droughts
• Storms
• wild fires

What can we do to solve the problem of global warming and climate change
I believe after reading the causes of global warming and climate change we saw the causes, so I think the main reason is to see how we can reduce the cause other reasons are:

• We should avoid Deforestation and always plant trees that is Afforestation.
• we should use less hot water because it takes alot of energy to heat water.
• We should always create a more sustainable transportation habits
• We should eliminate the use of fossil fuels in every area of our society if possible.
• Eliminate the burning of coal, oil and natural gas.
• We should try and buy electrical appliances that consumes less current

I know you all might be wondering what is the meaning of fossil fuels

fossil fuels are hydrocarbon containing material formed naturally in the earth crust from the remaining of dead animals and plants that is burned and extracted an fuels.

Fossil fuels are mainly oil, coal and natural gas.

In conclusion
My thoughts goes to the people of turkey 😭 who just witnessed earthquake and most especially those who lost their lives, I pray that God guide and see them through this tough time.
