Show us your Skills by Creating any Craft with Paper

Greeting friends! How are you today? I hope you are all fine as I am. I appreciate @shiftitamanna and the steem for Bangladesh for organising this contest. Today, I constructed a bicycle with the use of newspaper only and I am here to explain to you how I created the bicycle. I hope you will like it.

✅ Present your paper craft to us in at least 4 steps.

Materials used for the craft

• Newspaper
• Scissors
• Paper cutter
• Red & Black acrylic colour
• Blush
• Folding iron
• Adhesive
• Evostik gum

Step 1
I began my construction by first cutting each newspaper into two. After that, I open each of the half and fold it using my folding iron. I folded enough of the newspaper that will take care of all the creation

Step 2
The next thing I did was to construct the wheel of the bicycle. In constructing the wheel, I picked two of the folded pieces of paper and used them to construct a cycle with the help of the acrylic container. I also used one of the folded papers to construct a small cycle. Having done that, I placed the small cycle in the middle of the big one and cut eight (8) short papers to connect the two cycles. I duplicated it as shown.

Step 3
I cut a short folded paper and fixed it in the small opening at the centre of the wheel. I also picked a long folded paper, folded it into two and fixed it through the centre of the second wheel. Finally, I connected the two-wheel. All the connection here is with the help of adhesive.

Step 4
I folded two other papers, cut them and gummed one at the centre of the two wheels, the other at the rear wheel and the two papers are connected above the wheel.

Step 5
Here, I folded a paper and gummed it at the centre of the front wheel to serve as the fork. I gummed a short piece of paper on it to serve as a head tube, I gummed another piece of paper from the centre of the two-wheel to the head tube and another piece of paper was gummed from the seat rube to the head tube.

Step 6
I made two small circles with the folded paper gummed one as the seat of the bicycle and the other as the bottom bracket of the bicycle.

Step 7
I cut a short Paper and connected it to the handlebar of the bicycle. I disconnect or cut the frame from the
bottom bracket to the front wheel. I also gummed the wheel of my bicycle on a rectangular cardboard to help it stand without support.

Step 8
I used my black acrylic colour to coloured the wheel of my bicycle, the fork, the seat stay and the seat

Step 9
I used red acrylic to colour the Top tube, seat tube, down tube and handlebar.

Step 10
I constructed the pedal, painted it black and gummed it on the bicycle

✅ How did you get the idea of ​​making paper crafts?
I first got the idea of paper crafts from the decoration unit of my church. I came to the church one faithful Sunday and saw decorations made with paper. It was food and attractive. So, I met the chairperson, talked to her and she took her time to explain and teach me how to do some paperwork. I also got more exposed to paperwork on social media and Facebook to be precise.

✅ Briefly tell us how you felt while making the papercraft

I feel very happy and accomplished anytime I am making a craft. The creation of a bicycle was truly a new idea for me because I had never done it before. Therefore I felt very happy at the end of my paper craft.
