SEC-S15W3: My Favorite Book

in hive-170554 •  9 months ago

Steem greetings from the ends of the steem4bangladesh community. It is yet another week of the engagement challenge and I am glad to share ideas about the topic.

Literally, we all have once been students and as literates thy we are, we often read books to better our understanding of certain subject matters. For this week, I will share one of those books that has help to shaped me on the right footings. My ideas will be shared based on the guiding questions below👇👇.

What's your favorite book? What kind of content is it providing to its readers?

One of my favourite books I have come across was “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki. The book talks about two prominent personalities, a rich dad who was not educated but was able to differentiate between assets and liabilities, and a poor dad who was well educated but very poor because he lacks good knowledge about investing into assets and not liabilities.

The book teaches readers to invest wisely because investing in assets will yield more profits and make you become richer. It teaches us to invest and let our investments work for us and not us working for other people's investments.

The book also teaches us not to be victims of the “rat race” where everyone is in a rush to acquire certificates and in the end unemployed. The number of educated persons is on the increase but limited jobs. It does not discourage education but states that we should acquire basic knowledge and then invest in assets.

How does your favorite book help others through its content?

It helps the readers to invest wisely and let their money work for them instead of working for others. The book makes one to become a financial giant.

It also helps the reader, to think in a creative way and not only focus on acquiring certificates because those certificates will not produce a job for you.

The book also makes us understand that building a house for yourself is not an asset and will not add any value to your income but investing in an asset like a real estate business will yield more profits which you can intend to use the extra profits to build a house and even buy a car for yourself.

Lastly, the book teaches us to become financial giants. It changes our mindset to become a business-inclined.

After reading this book, have you been influenced by anything that has benefited you in your personal life?

The book has influenced my thinking on how to manage my financial resources so well. It has shaped my reasoning of not seeking to work for someone but rather do investments that will let my money work for me.

Most often I usually think only of purchasing liabilities that added nothing to my earnings. Reading this book helps me to be able to differentiate between assets and liabilities and invest more into assets that will generate more income.

If you ever had the chance to write a book, what genre would it be, and who would benefit from it?

If I have a chance to write a book, it will be a memoir about some specific moments in my life. I believe that everyone has such moments in their life when everything is not gold. Life always poses challenges to us and how we handle those challenges makes us become even stronger.

Those who will benefit from my memoir will be women especially those who cannot handle life challenges. They will learn how to overcome certain life challenges and become stronger together.

I have come to the end of my discussion and I will invite @majerius, @saxopedia and @fombae to share their ideas with regards to the topic for the week 3 engagement challenge in steem4bangladesh community.
