The ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict has resulted in a humanitarian crisis, with a disproportionate number of women and children killed in Gaza, prompting international concern.

The International Criminal Court's arrest warrants for Israeli leaders for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity, alongside existing accusations of Israel violating international law, are further fueling the crisis and highlighting the suffering of the Palestinian people.

While some EU states are shifting towards condemnation and reducing arms sales to Israel, a unified EU response, including comprehensive sanctions and recognition of Palestine, remains elusive, despite the urgent need for action to alleviate the humanitarian suffering.
