I participate very willingly in this contest, and this is the first post in your community, I am a super fan of football, indeed until some time ago I practised it amateurishly, in the role of goalkeeper. So since I was a child I have always been fascinated by this sport, and when I had time, I would always try to follow a local team in my city that was in Serie A and then unfortunately went bankrupt. You know very well that in Italy the most important and most followed sport is football.

I am trying to follow this year's World Cup being held in Qatar, even though the matches are sometimes played at times that are not exactly convenient, but certainly much better than other World Cups that have been held, such as the one in Korea where the matches were played at night because of the time difference in Italy.

As you well know, unfortunately Italy, that is, my country, did not qualify for the World Cup, In Italy buy news was very scandalous precisely because Italy has won several World Cups in history. So right from the start I went in search of an interesting team to support in this World Cup.
I'll tell you right away that I'm not the person who cheers the strong teams, I like the weaker ones.

And some time ago I had seen a match of Japan's, so since I like the Japanese very much, also because my dream is to travel to Japan, I decided in this World Cup to support this nation and hope for their success.

Of course I saw the first match that was played against Germany, and it was won by the Japanese national team with a great comeback.

I was impressed by their game, also because we have to think that in Japan there is not a great football tradition, but I still saw that many Japanese came to study in Italy and also to train, and I must say that compared to the past their way of playing seems to have improved.

Currently in the fifa ranking Japan is in 24th place and that is not a bad result.

The player who impressed me most in the match was goalkeeper Gonda, who after causing a very stupid penalty managed to keep the Japanese national team on its feet with his saves.

I don't think the Japanese national team will make it that far in this World Cup, because there are much stronger national teams, but maybe they can even reach the round of 16, so far in this World Cup there have been some strange results so anything is possible.

I hope one day to be able to see a live game, because the last time I saw a World Cup game I was quite young and it was in Italy at the 1990 World Cup.
