1765 Robot Clive become the governor and commander-in-chief of Bengal as per treaty of Allhabad. Officially East India company became the new ruler of Bengal.
By 1818 East India company became most powerful entity in Indian subcontinent, two third of India came under their control and 78% of population living in this continent become under their rule.
After doctrine of lapse came the revolt of 1857, it is known as first war independence but the revolutionists lost the war.
According to Government of India act 1858, the British government nationalised East India company. All the territories, military forces and the wealth accumulated by East India company went to British government.
Mughal Empire ended in 1857 when the last Empire Bhadur Shah Jafar was exiled to Burma and his successor were killed.

Honestly speaking I fully agree with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 11th Independence day speech today. He deams India to become a Developed country by 2047 which is practically possible with the current growth and progress of the country.

It should focus on the overall growth of GDP minimising the economic disparity among citizens in a most sustainable way with a view to global peace and harmony.

Excellent, through your post I learned very well about the history of India, the world's largest economic country, in fact, being a neighboring country, we have many similarities between the people of Bangladesh and India.
