SEC-S6W5 : "A memorable day with my friends"

Rafting is one of the challenging sports, not everyone has the courage to try one of these sports, because it takes courage to wade along the river with the swift flow of river water.

Some time ago I and the Covid-19 Vaccination Team did it by trying one of the Raftings in the highlands of Gayo Land, Central Aceh District. This is really impressive considering it was my first time trying rafting with difficult terrain.

This challenging and adrenaline-stimulating activity makes it an unforgettable memory in my life, crossing the river with a distance of almost 1 hour (4 Kilometers) gave us many new experiences.

In 1 boat occupied by 7 people, 1 as a guide while we as passengers consisted of 6 people wearing attributes in the form of head safety helmets so that it was safe if the best rubber boat and collided with rocks, then wearing vests and holding oars.

A funny thing happened because generally we were over 35 years old with 2 men (me and my boss) and 4 other people who were mothers over 45 years old. When crossing a river with big rocks, suddenly the rubber boat almost capsized because it hit a big rock, we all drowned in the water and the funny thing is one of the women said "I will die, I will die here", even though the river happened to be high water does not exceed 150 centimeters.

We all laughed at this incident because the mother was quite cowardly and initially didn't want to join us to wade through the swift flow of the Lukup Badak Takengon river.

There are many things that can be learned from this trip which is quite far, with difficult journeys and narrow roads, we have to be patient to drive four-wheeled vehicles, not to mention the fog blanketing the roads along the steep mountain slopes. The journey there takes almost 2 hours. time using alternative routes.

Another lesson that can be taken is TEAM cohesiveness, meaning that when a boat is traveling at high speed with large rocks in front, what is needed is a Team Leader and solid team members, when one member does not follow orders from the team leader, conditions worst could happen.

Our boat overturned because one of the members did not maintain a position so that the boat's balance was not there when it hit the rocks.

This trip did not start with previous planning, initially we only planned to enjoy a cup of coffee, eat durian while enjoying the cool air on the mountain which happened to be still in North Aceh district. Central Aceh.

An unexpected incident was when we continued our journey to the Cold City of Central Aceh District, the problem was that this was unexpected considering my team and I did not have any preparation so we got there and tried rafting which had never been tried before.

Preparation for a long trip is an important indicator, we should have a change of clothes so we don't get wet after trying rafting, then other preparations so we can visit several other tourist points in Central Aceh district.

This is an impressive experience that can be made into memories with friends of the Covid-19 Vaccination Team, limited cell phone batteries without carrying a charger make these memories not well documented, we from 4 pm to 11 pm did not have a battery backup so that gave rise to panic from the family.

Moments like this can be used as momentum in establishing team cohesiveness after years of handling Covid-19 vaccinations with a population of 21,750 people and a target of 17,000 people. Differences of opinion in the world of work so far disappeared instantly, we look more unified and have one goal, namely the implementation of government programs in accordance with predetermined targets.

This trip has many stories that can be used as important experiences, we are the same outside the office, there is no difference in position, because our goal 1 is to enjoy the beauty of the country above the clouds full of jokes together.
