Hello all beloved steemian friends, I hope you are all always healthy..
Everyone has a very valuable object and will certainly take good care of it. However, when fate says otherwise, we as humans can only surrender, try to find and hope that these items can be recovered. Even if not, then it will teach a valuable lesson and hope it never happens again. Hopefully losing something valuable makes us grateful and careful in all situations and conditions. Here is my participation in the Steemit Engagement Challenge in the Steem For Bangladesh community with the theme; SEC-S10W5 : My story of losing a precious thing
Have you ever lost something that was very important to you?(If you have a picture of the item please share it with us)
This story happened when I was still in 5th grade. By then I already had such a strong memory to remember every precious moment whether it was the funniest, saddest or happiest. At that time I lost a very valuable object, namely a necklace given by my beloved mother.
That night was the night of my brother's wedding reception which was in front of my grandmother's house. We who were small at that time joined and played a game of hide and seek at night. While I was playing, suddenly my mother called me and gave me a gift of a gold necklace with beautiful eyes. I really liked it, but at that time I thought more about the game we were playing at the time.
I'm not alone, there are upperclassmen who invite me to hide and we hide in a chicken coop that is no longer used. We ran here and there and finally after a few hours the game ended because we had to rest for tomorrow's event. At that time I finished cleaning myself and my mother called me and saw that the necklace I was wearing was not there anymore. he asked and looked very angry. I didn't realize that the necklace was gone and that night became a very long night for me and all that was left was my necklace.
What emotions did you experience upon losing the item?
I felt so guilty and also couldn't sleep the whole day. It was a very precious gift my mother gave me, she got the necklace for me too with great difficulty and I just lost it in just a few hours. I was sad, but I also couldn't do much at that time because of my situation, which was still in elementary school. And I wish that if I could turn back that time, I would not play hide and seek and I would be more careful and provide more protection for these objects such as using thread as a glue, because I look a little more like a boy when I play. Owh mother, this was still remembered by mother and even my family who were there at that time.
Did you do anything to find it? What was the result?
Even though it was night, we looked for it all over the place where I was playing at that time. In fact, everyone at my grandmother's house was looking for her down to the chicken coop. Luckily, the eye of the necklace was found there, while the rope of the necklace was lost somewhere. Until now the necklace is a forgotten history, and I keep the necklace eyelet until now because no matter what happened, it is a precious memory from my mother and I will never sell it.
What steps do you follow to avoid losing such precious items in the future?
I'm grateful that even if it's an item that was left behind I can still use it until now. However, because the Modern Islamic College where I studied did not allow the use of any gold, I finally decided to just keep the eyes. I'll give it to my daughter when she grows up, and I've kept it safe for years now. I was touched that my mother didn't hit me at the time let alone scold me, but she looked very annoyed and let me keep the necklace so that it was a valuable lesson for me.

Hi dear I know how it feels to lost a jewelry gift from a loved one, I've lost a gold necklace too and it's still painful each time I recalled, though it's almost 10 years now. It's good that at least you've found the pendant of necklace. Success!
