Assalamu Alaikum Everyone. Today i will share about our comilla university. This premises is built in the lap of Lalmai hill. That's why students fondly call Lalpahar campus.
Mayabi campus is called Comilla University. Where the students are woken up by the chirping of birds, the call of the fox at night, the noise of teachers and students in the morning and evening or late at night, this campus is busy.
Comilla University is located next to Shalbonvihar in Kotbari area of Comilla district, surrounded by greenery.

The university is located about 9 km from Comilla district headquarters. It is the 25th public university in the country.
The foundation stone of the university was laid on 7th February 2006. The Comilla University Act was passed by Parliament on 8 May 2006. Comilla University started its journey on 28 May 2007 with 300 students from seven departments and 15 teachers in the first batch. At present 7055 students of 19 departments are studying in this university under 6 faculties. Currently there are 225 teachers in this university.

Professor Dr. Golam Mawla is the founder vice-chancellor of this university. He served in this position till 30 July 2008. The current vice-chancellor of Comilla University is Professor Dr. AFM Abdul Moin. Surrounded by 244 acres of greenery, the university has administrative buildings, four academic buildings, five residential halls for students, Mukt Manch Shaheed Minar, cafeteria area, mosque and medical center on various high and low hills.

This university has a library with 23000 books and 709 journals. The library is open Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 8 pm. This university has 4 academic buildings. These are Science Faculty Building, Arts and Humanities Faculty Building, Business and Commerce Faculty Building, and Engineering and Law Faculty Building.

There are 20 buses for the transportation of Comilla University students. Also there are five residential halls for the students of this university. Of these there will be three for male students and two for female students.

Comilla University has various student organizations. These include Comilla University, Debating Society, Comilla University Journalists' Association, Theater Comilla University, Science Club, Comilla University Photographic Society and cultural organization Prataran.

At present Comilla University has a total of 19 departments under 6 faculties. The subjects of the Faculty of Engineering are, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. and Department of Information and Communication Technology. The subjects in the Faculty of Science are Pharmacy, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Mathematics. The subjects of the Faculty of Business Education are Accounting and Information Management, Marketing, Management Education and Finance and Banking.

Arts and Humanities Faculty subjects are English and Bengali. The subjects of the Faculty of Social Sciences are Public Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Mass Communication and Journalism and Economics. Also Comilla University has Law Department under Faculty of Law.

The visitors were impressed by the shape of Shahid Minar and Lalmati campus standing on the top of the hill.

The university is located in Salmarpur village, 10 km southwest of Comilla city. Currently, another 200 acres of land has been added to the main campus. As a result the size of the university stands at 250 acres. Development work is going on in the extended part under the supervision of the army.

Nature continues to show its beauty at Comilla University almost throughout the year. With the change of season, the spring flowers make this green campus of red soil more beautiful.
