Greetings,
Dear Steemians,
I would like to share with you my joy this morning as I watch the sunrise at the beach in Cotonou, Benin. I hope you are fine and your loved one doing great with the family. The root of the fall in a man's professional career is certainly pride. This article will detail my opinion on the subject of pride and its impact on society. Possession of treasure can change the mindset of a person turning the earlier modest man or woman into a proud selfish person. History has shown the fall of great men and women was mainly caused by their excessive pride. I would love to receive your feedback in the comment section. Your suggestion and questions are most welcome.
I have met acquaintances in my professional life who change over a short period of time. I found out that most people when they get consumed by their own pride may become arrogant, and selfish. My relative experience the same situation in a small town. People inherited wealth which causes them to be prideful and their behaviors change. The manifestation of those changes is the lack of empathy, poor decision-making, and a disregard for the consequences of their actions.

* Who do you think is arrogant? Highlight the characteristics of egoists.
I met arrogant men when I tried to renew my passport last year. The arrogant individual meets the profile of a person that has an excessive sense of himself. The arrogant person believes there is a superiority of this status compared to others, and the right to be specially treated in normal circumstances or to receive privileges. Staff members at the central office of idea status evaluation may contain elements that are preoccupied with their own achievements and status, seeking validation and recognition from others. I have struggled to explain that I was wearing medical spectacles. The officer was only listening to his opinion and even refused the supporting argument of his coworker in the office. He dominated the conversation and decided to postpone the submission of my case to the next step of the process. Arrogant people may display behaviors such as interrupting all the time during a conversation, criticizing person they barely met, and taking credit for the work they haven’t done.
* Do you think if we are perfect at something we should brag about it?
A perfect person doesn’t exist in my personal opinion. I believe that we all got flaws and people who seem flawless have done and still doing enormous efforts to reach God-like perfection. Also, I don’t fall into self-proclamation behaviors. It is a waste of time to brag about being perfect at something. My colleague at the science department has always been truly skilled in the medical area, his abilities were shortly after the first year recognized through his semester grade reports. He is now a doctor and surgeon at the national hospital in Benin. His case is worth mentioning. He chose to focus on continually improving and refining their abilities. His experience inspired others to strive for excellence as well.

* Have you found anyone on this Steemit platform to be arrogant? If so, why do you think so?
I have been blogging on Steemit for over six years and I don't recall a specific case of egoistical behavior on any account. Steemians are aware of the negative image brought by those behaviors on social media platforms. Community representatives have accomplished a fantastic educational intervention to resolve this situation of a member boasting. In general, it is not appropriate to publicly call out or criticize individuals for perceived character flaws. Steemian generally approaches interactions with others with respect and understanding, even when multiple authors disagree or have different perspectives.
* Properly analyze the root of the fall of ego.
Ego manifests in multiple ways in the social life we all participate in regardless of our classes or religion or ethnicity. The permanent need for validation and recognition, resistance to feedback or criticism, or an inability to empathize with others is characteristic of people with many egos. As a natural-born person with good intentions, you strive to control the influence of your ego to assure it doesn't dominate your entire personality. In situations where it is too late, arrogant people become focused on their persons, insensitive to the needs and feelings of others, and dismissive of alternative perspectives.
After intensive discussions with elders in my neighborhood, I found that the key way to overcome the negative aspect of the inner ego slowly trying to take control is to cultivate humility. Humility involves a willingness to recognize one's limitations, and to listen to and learn from others. When a person approaches life with humility, he is going to make decisions that benefit themselves and others. He surely will approach challenges with an open and curious mindset.

In summary, It is true that pride can lead to a person's downfall. However, humility can be a powerful force for good. Bragging or boasting about personal skills often comes across as arrogant. It's important to recognize that ego is a natural and spontaneous mind-triggered behavior in a human. Common opinion agrees on the possibility of cultivating in a person greater humility and self-awareness. Personal social life experiences should teach us valuable lessons. I hope these examples will raise awareness about the importance of humility and inspire the youth to cultivate positive qualities to apply daily in society.
Best Regards
