Introduction

Hello fellas, welcome to my blog for the season6 week6 of the steemit engagement challenge.

Love is a beautiful thing especially when you love and being loved by the right person.
I couldn't help but smile when I saw this topic because I love and I'm being loved back by God's grace. 💕 😘

How do you express love and affection for each other?

Wow! Well, our kind of love is somehow strange to many people because we hardly use the common love and pet languages everyone around knows and uses.

Although there are other ways we express love still in our funny ways like when I dress beautiful and as a normal thing, he was supposed to say

Wow! My darling you look beautiful and breathtaking.

But reverse is the case in our situation. Rather he will say

See how ugly you look. If someone should ask you now, you will say you are beautiful with your ugly face 😆😆😆

Another way we expresses love and affection is we buy gifts for each other without even waiting for the other to request.
When I see something I envisaged that he will look good in, I buy it or what will benefit him, I buy for him immediately and he reciprocate that gesture even more.

What are some of your favorite memories together?

Smile! I have lots of memories with him and one of them is when we take a walk together but we were busy arguing, teasing and pushing each other on the road not minding who was looking. To the eyes of the world we were fighting on the street but in reality, never!😆

What have you learned from your relationship?

What I learned about my relationship is to be happy first which will help me to also make my partner happy.
I also learned contentment and satisfaction.

How do you handle disagreements?

Listening is something we all should learn in our relationships. When you listen, you can be able to understand and then share your idea but when he disagrees with me, I remain quite until he is calm because one thing I understand in life is when someone is angry, he hardly listens or make right decision so I let everything cool down before making my point.

What do you do to keep the spark alive in your relationship?

Playful.
I used to be a serious minded person but he helped me understand that it doesn't work that way with him. Even when we are discussing something very serious and important, we bring play into it to make it fun and that has kept the spark between us.
Earlier in the relationship I used to look serious when talking about important things but I realized it kills the spark and distant us from each other so I decided to change for good hence its not harmful.

What are some meaningful ways you use to connect with your partner?

• Sharing ideas
• Spending quality time together
• Engaging in some activities together like playing games, seeing a movie, doing laundry and other chores together
• Praying together
• Studying together

How do you keep communication open and honest?

One thing we agreed on is never lie to each other no matter what. It's better I hear the truth from you than from someone else. Hearing from him makes me feel loved, respected and cherished that even if someone comes with tell me in form of gossip, I'll just listen but truth is I've already heard from my man.

Conclusion

This particular topic has made me realize how lucky I am because I had sore experiences in my previous relationship and I am glad I got someone who is bringing out the best in me both in character and intellectual wise.
